You are miles ahead of most new players then.
Putting it near gloreonix isn’t a bad idea, especially once we can use SS again.
Also, you must never kill tortogeist or anything with mirror revenge with Galvbane, as it will only spell certain doom

Doesn’t hurt. That would give you stun protection and some taunt protection for Galvbane

I don’t think I’ve ever steered a n00b the wrong direction by telling them to go get themselves a FREE Galvbane.

He must’ve had a trash team before then. Imagine how good your friend would be with a monster who could kill things and support at the same time like GALVBANE
@Ice_Cream Just a word of advice, @NMEduck can’t build you a decent team if you don’t have Canis and the version of Neo that didn’t nerf the starters

Try moving valzareign back a bit so it gets to use shield entrance and have ashterios and maybe heavenswyrm in your frontline. You want the first part of your team to be better protected from stun but you also could think about using blacktitan in your frontline for true hit. It isn’t very good where you have it because it could kill one of your own monsters and it can’t use poison eater or bloodthirst with scorpiogeist alive.
For your endgame, you will want to have something like
Flarevern/Mechaviathan
Flarevern/Mechaviathan (I don’t use a poison endgame much so I’m not sure about the order)
Scorpiogeist
Deathgazer
Freezecobra
This endgame will be a lot better because mechaviathan will be closer to more threatening monsters so it’s more likely to survive and deathgazer will be able to speed up stronger monsters. Freezecobra will also be closer to scorpiogeist so it is more likely to be poisoned on its first turn. The first half of your team seems alright and I like the link fire you have (link fire is my favorite). The main issue will probably be stun or santistag.

I took black titan out becuase he could kill my own teammates, I moved ashterios, heavensworm never dies, so I put it slightly closer to valz for the healing light. I also made the backline like you said. I could also change my entire backline to non poison if you want?
You should move mechaviathan and flarevern ahead of scorpiogeist and that will be a lot stronger. It should look like

Freezecobra/Deathgazer
You can also move lordsreign because it won’t be doing much in that spot. I forgot that secret skills can’t be activated so you can test if deathgazer 16th is better.
