After this special rule, the devs should come to the conclusion that something is wrong with these teams.
The only logical counter is that Mortylis’s attacks, just like stun counters and converters, don’t work when time is frozen, which is logical because time is frozen.
And nothing could push mons back or forward .nothing can grant moves or anything like that
Mons with timestopp should be buffed in his passive self
I beat several this morning by playing my unicera and outspeeding the flower
You can also just run something slow,
The issue first happends if they are able to vile rage, so the solution is to nerf enrage moves caus they dumb! Defence buffs dont count towards the enrage, only the base stats do
Yeah it really suck, especially when only 1 of your monster have chance to do comeback and from dream entrance that monster only goes to sleep out of 4 of ur mons😕
This person playing Mortilys GT combo with Godpaca in 5th was very cool to see. Absolutely brutal though, didn’t get a single turn. Their 4th monster in FL was holy Sharkrex, which died to recoil on the first attack.
But adjust your speed so he goes first and can load whichever mortar monsters you use, i recomend colossus, he is focus piercing with a follow up raw move worst case
Keep in mind that mortar monsters can be quite slow and unreliable as they need to load, its a fun archtype to play but its a very complicated one to, goodluck with your battles!
Come ln man there is no need to be nice call them trash already, they are my favorite archetype but they have no place in pvp or pve their are 10x times better options than them.
I have suggested in the past that motar monsters can enter with a pre loaded motar after 200 seconds this will help them in pvp and speed can be adjusted, even with this change many will fail to make it in todays game
Mortar monsters are brilliant in PvE. That should never be in doubt.
The load mechanic has always been too slow in PvP. A few mortar monsters are good enough to be viable but most either need to be in a very specific setup or they’re only good outside top level PvP.
Kanna, Tricranium and Bloomeluga have all been highly sought after meta monsters in PvP at some point in the past. Gryphking is currently very viable. Rocolossus has always been fringe playable. I’m sure some others I can’t think of right now are or have been viable in PvP too.
As a mechanic it’s honestly doing kind of fine even in PvP and all it needs is a couple of support pieces to make it really good. Gandalfrog was a good one. Mortar is ripe for support pieces like this because it’s just the loading that’s slow. The attacking is low TU and piercing so is super strong when you can chain it.
