On top of it when they release a top design like Lumimalus, then the skillset falls flat after just a little bit of testing.
In my opinion they can’t say that waifus sell better if they give them top skillset and a trash one for actual monsters.
I am pretty sure whales would buy Myths that look like actual monsters if they were not so underwhelming or PvE oriented.
Actual whales are often knowledgeable, avid PvP players and they’ll buy anything that’s useful and very powerful. Some people are collectors that want everything for the sake of collecting. However, I think the waifu designs appeal most to the more casual male audience that have just started the game: teenagers and horny adults.
It also doesn’t help that all the anniversary mythics have been “waifus” and at least one of them was meta relevant so we had to pull for them
Two days or so ago I fought against him, he is an excellent player. We fought three times and I managed to beat him the third time.To be honest I was a little overconfident the first time, when I saw Angelion in FL I thought he was a bad player but I was tremendously surprised. The second time I made some tactical mistakes that also cost me, until the third time I won.
They can keep doing that, but I don’t think this game will ever get REALLY BIG if they keep going down this path
I’m totally sure that if they design more monsters with S+ abilities like they’re doing with waifus, they’ll have the same sales level. I think that a player with a clear head won’t buy a waifu with terrible abilities just because she’s showing her butt, that would be really stupid.
