How to fix Nebel/Cosmo

I just thought of the craziest idea imaginable for Nebel/cosmo. As you all know It’s extremely hard to come up with ideas for them, since they have a very specific formula, and tweaking it the wrong way could end up making them worse. But I thought of the perfect idea, and I think you’ll like it.

So, my idea is to drop create duplicate(and switch places too) and give them a brand new passive: Spawn Enterance. What it does is it drops a cryochick or an astrodrak, depending on the monster, into your team, probably in the spot after next in queue, so basically like 6th from the FL. This way the spawn won’t come on the field too early. And Nebel/cosmo will also gain a move called Spawn Boost(50 TU), which causes its spawn to evolve into Freeznix/Astrodragon respectively, and then using it again brings it to its final form. Now you have a complete duplicate which in turn can make its own spawn, and as a bonus it has full health, so no more AP problems.

It is perfectly counterable too- if you kill the original before it can boost the spawn, then all that’s left is a chick/drak to sweep up, no extra DR. Or you can simply kill enough enemies to force the spawn onto the field, so that it can’t be boosted. The move can only boost the spawn if it’s in queue, since I doubt there’s any way the devs could program that :stuck_out_tongue:

Now, I know what the biggest concern is- that you could use pull back to get multiple spawns a la Grovodeus and duplicate the chain. Easy solution- the enterance does not trigger if that particular monster has already made a spawn. And the second biggest concern would be that any chick/drak with the misfortune of ending up on the field prematurely will become a huge liability, which is why I said the spawn should probably be a decent distance back, to minimize the chances of it appearing too early. To solve that one, I propose the fourth move, in place of switch, be cannibalize. Make it so that the first form has cannibalize too, so that it can kill itself off and heal the team in the process. And obviously it won’t open up any doors to stupid cannibalize combos since a) Nebel/cosmo are too slow and b ) no enterance on the FL.

I know the perfect secret skill to go with it, too- instant pull back. If the spawn ends up on the field, he can pull it back, then boost it. Another rule you should probably add to spawn boost is that the spawn can’t go a form ahead of the original, so if freeze/astro is doing it, it can only create another freeze/astro, not Nebel/cosmo. And again, IPB is unlikely to pull any stupid combos due to their slow speed, although it could of course trigger a huge turn around in midgame. We want them to be more useful after all, right?

So in summary, the movesets of each form:
Chick/drak- megawave/thunder, cannibalize
Freeze/astro- giga, cannibalize, spawn boost, death revenge, spawn enterance
Nebel/cosmo- ultra, cannibalize, spawn boost, protect teammates, death revenge, spawn enterance, instant pull back

Let me know what you guys think
P.S. boosting their speed just a touch wouldn’t hurt either…

Phoenix Revenge

Why do you want change their moveset ? I think they are good and their only mission is to die and take down one enemy monster or even more because of duplicate self

Because he has literally 0 use unless you have 3 shocking entrancers and atrahasis. And only in the ultimate challenge.

The death revenge is not a deterrent. It is a detriment. His protect teammates makes him robin food. Also, what happens when DR hits a nightrider? You lose.

I agree they are both pretty useless haha

I like the idea. I dont like instant pull back though

I don’t like it. Not because it isn’t a good idea but because i don’t think that death revenge should be a viable strategy. It should be just an extra for few monsters imho

give them roaring entrance :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is how i will rework him

1.Aoe
2.blood clone next
3.revenant strike
4. Protect teammate

passives
death revenge
Camouflage

secret skill:
Pullback 1 sec. ( clones can use it too)

This is the best way to buff him while keeping him kind of the same.

I did edit this before but somehow it did not post

The problem with that is that he’s completely useless without the secret skill. Typically monsters are supposed to be able to cope just fine without it.
