So, @devs, if you could spare a thought on this topic , please explain your reasons for giving gazer retreat as a ss?
Because step back could let it be anywhere in a team, whereas gazer made it second to third from the last slot material.
People started going around with gazer like 8th 9th, can’t have that.
This is truly only a throw nerf. You can’t run gazer in a throw endgame…
Gazer was never 9 or 10 it was always 13-16
If it’s at 16 then no retreat, must be 14,15 now.
If 14 then you have a 1+ monster buffer before it comes in again.
Any restrictions on retreat apply on step back as well… no 16 either.
I cant see any difference between thoae 2 moves in gazer side. Not a buff and not a nerf.
He still need to be nerfed.
In all fairness a ton of people are running throw @Unown
Oh wait
You can’t use step back on 16th either… the only thing this does compare to the old one is it would go behind 20 rocks in a throw team making it useless. But gazer was never in a throw endgame, so this makes no difference at all.
I like gazer as insta TT. Unfortunately I don’t own him, that’s why devs should nerf him
I can see why they would think it would be a nerf however in reality in doesnt make a difference since its still abusable. Gazer in my experience is always near end game this “nerf” is really only delaying the inevitable by maybe 1 monster max. I think this may be a more temporary “nerf” to bring minor relief so that they could have more time to think on proper nerfs. The whole issue with Gazer is how powerful his passive is and the fact he can use it multiple times without restriction which makes it abusable and almost impossibly to stop. This SS change doesnt really solve that. I think the devs want to change it but they also dont wont to ruin him at the same time so their buying more time to think about it atleast thats what i hope.
If they wanted retreat on it they should’ve added a condition to the passive that it can’t trigger again for 200 seconds. I.e. Once Gazer first enters the field then 200s must pass before entering again will trigger the passive. This would also stop any possibly abuse with it and pull back moves.
It sucks on top level how everybody who has gazer gets a huge advantage just by abusing Insta TT. Nice try to nerf him devs because it makes sense to make his passive available after a joke time because he is always at 12-15 position.
This scenario I like the most: gazer comes in and buffs a TT. Not broken I get it. That’s how you bypass turn give directly to those monsters. Good job
Here’s a suggestion. Since u can’t gt a tt, then u should be able to fast forward a tt. But honestly, why not make it less seconds fast forward. Right now it practically gives turn to all monsters.
The only real way to counter it is. Killing all 4 monsters before gazer comes in.
Stunning all previous monsters before gazer
Or sleeping all monsters before gazer
Especially with oak and poison endgame being so prevalent, there is absolutely no downsides to the gazer endgame.
Absolutely shuts down peng endgame as well.
¯_(ツ)_/¯ idk man. I’ve been ahead by 6 monsters and then the gazer comes in and wipes out my team Pretty much instantly
When 15 sec difference can mean between victory and loss, 50 second reduction is insta win. Let alone the ability to use it twice in a short time
I was the only one who ever truly ran throw
I can do whatever I want, but if there is a gazer in enemies team that big lead can turn into a devastating lose just by abusing his passive. The only counter is to have your own gazer
The only counter is to make a buggy dissconnect
It should be instant overwatch, Gazer shouldn’t have anything like step back, pull back, retreat, exit plan, sendback, nothing like that.
Sincerely,
A Gazer Abuser
I think gazer needs another buff ive been countering it lately.
One does not simply counter gazer
