Well, I just stupidly lost a game for skipping many turns…
The game started and I had nothing good to do with my FL, so I conveniently started skipping my first 4 turns, so my adversary could play first and then I could decide what to do. But after the fourth skipped turn i receive a nice “Game over”…
Now, I’m not entirely sure about this, but wasn’t it like 6 or 7 skipped turns what you needed in order to lose the game?
I understand that there are many BMers and maybe this rule is made to lower the damage they make to the community, but 4 skipped turns are not many.
Anyone could perfectly be in the same situation I was and decide to skip their first four turns.
I think the limit should be increased to at least 6
It is good to be honest a 30sec skip should be the last choice .
Btw thx for the info
How did none of your FL monsters have anything to do?
Retribution FL without anything to retribute due to a gravity field
The thing is, forced skip turn is a good move you can make in a game and shouldn’t be seen only as a punishment for passing the 30 seconds you have to think your move without making any. Some times forced skip turn is the best thing you can do.
There should be a button players could push in order to do forced skip turn without waiting the 30 seconds when they need it, with a limit use of 5 or 6 times. And keep the actual rule of losing a game if you do forced Skip turn 4 times waiting the 30 seconds, in order to control BM.
(Yes, players could wait 29 seconds and then push the button to avoid the penalization, but this forced skip button could have a 15 seconds count down, so if you wanna skip turn this way, you need to do it before the first 15 seconds)
I think that force skip should not exist as it is now even though sometimes it indeed is the best thing to do. Previously the force skipping monster was pushed back 200 seconds iirc, which imo was much better. The reason why it’s like this is because some people have bad connection and it would be unfair towards them if they got skipped back many times.
I mean no offense towards you whatsoever, but your case sounds like your opponent countered your strategy and locked your FL. I think it’s fair that you lost if you force skipped 4 times in a row and don’t think the rules need to be changed because of this one case. The rule is there to ensure smooth PvP experience for everyone.
Instead, think about how you can modify your team to get out of that situation without skipping!
I agree with Exu on this one. I’m glad that force skip is an option in some very niche cases but it’s not great for the game if everyone is encouraged to force skip the whole time. The 200s punishment in the past was far better, but when it happened by accident or from an error it could lose you a battle. So a better system is what we have now… with it being restricted so we can’t abuse it
I’m not saying it’s not necessary. What I mean is that 4 times is a very low number.
Yes, I’m presenting this case because it happened to me, but if you think about it, situations like the one I was in could perfectly happen to anyone.
To increase the number from 4 times to 5 or 6 would be ok I think, and would give players more options, without BMing
I think you’re confusing this thread a little bit. It’s not like one of those when some player lose a game due to some specific strategy or monster, and then he comes to ask to change the whole thing so he could win the next time.
I don’t need to modify my team either. That happened because I thought skipping turns limit was 6 or 7 times (as I think it was some time ago), and therefore I choose not to play. Next time I just need to attack with the lowest TU of one of my monsters. It’s not a big deal.
I just saw this happened with such a low number of skipped turns and thought it didn’t make much sense, cause situations like the one I was in could happen anytime to any other player, and it’s not considered BM
Exactly my stance.
I don’t think it’s normal to do four force skips in a row. Also never heard anyone else had a problem with this before.
To be honest, skipping turns with your entire team in a row does sound like exactly what the system should stop. If you don’t want to take a turn with ANY of your monsters then you’re most likely taking advantage of the skip system to wait until your opponent has done something.
As you said, you can probably just take a turn with one of your four monsters and it will avoid you automatically losing the battle. Four actually sounds like the perfect amount.
