This threat is for everyone forcing a skip by provoking a timeout. This is unsportsmanlike and I saw people doing it where I thought they do not need to.
It is the same thing like in another threat players saying they are not provoking a disconnect at there turn and find guilty by screenshots. That’s very sad!
Many high level players do this as it’s a smart thing to do sometimes. I for sure don’t like it, but if it’s in the game there must be a reason for it. I personally don’t view it as unsportsmanslike, just annoying.
Disconnecting without a reason or prolonging the game with forced skips to try to make your opponent quit however is definitely unsportsmanslike.
Maybe I am wrong but when he skips and I skip to force a move from my opponent the normal game mechanic is making a move. That’s why a forced timeout outhandles the game mechanism and wasting 30s of matchtime. And sorry to say that is not a „smart thing to do sometimes“.
Before someone is asking, no the reason for this is not loosing the match. Anyway I won this match against the high level top player doing this.
Well if you have a monster with only AoE available to be used against 3 sleeping opponent monsters you simply can’t just skip if they counter skip, so best thing to do then is force skip instead of waking up the whole gang
Force skip is generally a bad move in PvP . Most games I have played don’t have option for force skip . Maybe neo shouldn’t too imo.
Force skip should put the monster next in order and if someone does this 3 times continuously , they should automatically get the loss . Evertale does it so at least !
There should a a penalty for this. First time additional +100 tu to the seconds the monster would have after forced skip, second time +150tu, third time autodefeaded.
This would be a smart change for an update and not that stupid new potting system.
@Exu yes you are right but I think that is not an offical way the devs would support. Everyone hates when an opponent disconnects on his turn or will be defeated and wasting time. But wasting time for forced skip should be ok?
Are you complaining about people who are force skipping to bm or force skipping in general? Force skipping is fine and there is a penalty unless it is the beginning game. Force skipping puts you at the last tu meaning if there is a monster with 200 tu, the force skipped monster will be at 201 tu which is fair imo.
@Exu For me Deux X is the living proof that it is not intended .
But to make it clear again I only talk about the situation —> Opponent skips, I also skip to force him to make his move, opponent force a timeout to skip.
Ah ok that’s another thing I hate and also some top players doing but not the topic for this thread.
I am not angry or so I just want to say my opinion and hear other ones in a respectful discussion.
I use force skipping sometimes, strategically. I used it lots when playing with Bundleblazer and I expect my opponent to do it with the Bundleblazer I give them too.
In the past if you force skipped then the monster would get pushed to 200TU. This made more sense, except for the times when the game bugs and skips your monster early.
Personally, I think the current system they have is the best solution they’ve done. It is the right amount of punishment while not making you lose the match if it happens accidentally. We can all exploit it which can be annoying at times but believe me it was very frustrating sometimes when you’re forced to do something like wake up all the enemies. It’s a more positive experience when people have the option to force skip.
The other time I played against a DLGZ and I am sure that we both skipped more than 3 times in a row, the DLGZ started the first skip and I was surprised because neither of us gave the battle as lost.
I think it only does it now if you have 3 turns in a row which you skip by timing out (your opponent doesn’t have any turns in-between your monsters). The likelihood of that happening in a match is very low.
