So after doing some testing,
Flutterdrake rose detox strike is significantly WEAK,
Like take for example cobra brought utopian to hg with its strike ,
Rose damage to aegis was 2745
Cobra on the other hand 4655 , and it one shots both tt, (despite one being element advantage)
@Dev_VKC if you could look into it, and buff the damage please. Thankyou.
Compare Rose to Polaboss, I think the two have the same power with Detox Strike. It’s not that Rose is weak… it’s that the damage was scaled up hugely for Freezecobra.
I have all three. Here they are, tested against a super-buffed Aurodragon (high UC level):
Polaboss = 1800
Flutterdrake Rose = 1400
Freezecobra = 2250
Factor in their attack stats and how super buffed defence is 0.5x damage modifier…
Polaboss = 1800/5115 *2 = 0.70 damage modifier
Flutter Rose = 1400/4020 *2 = 0.697 damage modifier
Freezecobra = 2250/3255 *2 = 1.38 damage modifier
So, by the looks of things, the standard damage modifier for Detox Strike is 0.7 but it was doubled for Freezecobra. When fighting super buffed monsters it means Freezecobra deals more damage, but when fighting things with more reasonable defence then Polaboss does deal more (due to the specifics of damage calculation).
Tbh Polaboss and Rose are kinda fine. Freezecobra has been balanced to be one of the top-tier SEs. I guess maybe without a damage buff to detox strike there wasn’t a strong enough move available. Rose’s detox strike is not the main skill by any means and neither is Polaboss’.
I completely emphatically disagree with you here bro.
Like there is no BIGGER or SMALLER reason needed not to buff damage of rose or polaboss,.
Given your point, I’ll reiterate All moveset given to a monster are there for a reason,
There should be no discussion on why one move should be considered great and other should be bad . I just don’t get this!!
To round off a monster , all of its movesets Should be of equal ,
Given confident strike buff in last update,
Now if I started saying jingle having dual confident should have less damage as compared to valza, dusciyon & wraithost, that would be utter nonsense on my part!!
To round off cobra , yea strike is it’s main attack move, but it should be of same value with other monsters as well who have detox strike as attack option .
It does not makes any sense what so ever that rose & polaboss strike damage should be lower than cobra coz cobra needs it’s damage more than they do.
If you look into all the monsters and the power of their moves you’ll see there are quite a few monsters which have had the attack power of their moves altered to better fit the design of the monster. For example, Chromera’s chrono killer has a buff to the damage so it one-shots practically everything except for tanky monsters like Aegis which are 50:50 to hold ground. I think Searguard might have chrono killer buffed too, I haven’t checked to be sure. These minor alterations to some of the moves are essential to create the balanced monsters we have in the game. I agree it’s confusing and would be a lot better if moves could always be the same strength but the game balance is better this way and it gives the designers a lot more flexibility when creating monsters.
Freezecobra is quite an extreme case because it’s been created with high defence but it seems like they also want it to have some damage potential. Poison siphon it’s pretty much just filler, poisoned burst fits the moveset but doesn’t deal too much (especially on a monster with low attack) so they made detox strike be the one great damage move and it must be set up each time with poison gas first, except on first entry. It turns Freezecobra into not just a support, tanky monster but also a deadly one which can kill something shortly after arriving into battle (with its 87% speed and automatically poisoned).
Legitimate argument, and I get it what you trying to say here.
Let’s just say Devs don’t buff rose damage,
I want to use rose, and having another flutter hinders my team synergy , and sleep killer is the only viable move which helps me or gives me a reason to use it ,
Another opinion, buffing rose damage does not unbalance the game I believe , it’s just makes it more usuable, makes it more versatile.
Yeah in the case of Flutter Rose I think it’s a shame detox strike isn’t stronger. The monster doesn’t seem as good as the other flutters plus it doesn’t synergise with any of them. I don’t like it much.
