After spending half of yesterday trying to do the new extreme challenge I was finally able to pull it off with a bit of luck. I didn’t think I’d be able to do it considering most of my people got one shot by the opponent’s monsters, plus I had no legendaries ultra evolved and only two super epics ultra evolved. At level 40 this is my team:
With some luck I was able to take out a few of the opponent’s team with death roulette, used desperate strike to take out any poison enemies, stun absorbers/ give turn monsters to adequately distribute turns. With poison people out of the way and a bit more luck I was able to sleep/bloodthirst enemies into oblivion with Deucalon/Dreadghoul and stun the enemies with duplicated copies of Cryowyrm. Either way, I’m content. First time getting an omega pyramid to evolve one of my legendaries.
It was the chronotitan one. Spent an entire day building a team that would counter it. I ended winning with last stand vs a stormloch. Had nothing better to do.
Last stand has been my go to when beating most difficult challenges in the game. However, I tried doing that here but it just didn’t seem to work. Not even my last stands could really do enough damage to any of the challenge’s monsters to make a difference. One desperate strike from my level 4 starters didn’t even kill rhynobrute. And my last stands couldn’t really one shot the legendaries on that team. So yeah, a mix of bloodthirst/sleep/stun/death roulette had to do the trick.
In an earlier super challenge battle, the Ziberious one I believe, when my only legendary was Atrahasis, I was about to win - with 6 monsters left versus the one Rhynobrawl, when the Rhynobrawl went ahead and killed the rest of my team using death roulette, always hitting the monster about to attack and even hitting my last stander twice in a row. Kinda like the opposite of what happened with you T_T
