I think you’re overlooking the fact that most players really need to run fast frontlines since that’s pretty much the meta the devs have been pushing for quite some time, intentionally or not. They’d rather take the instant loss (yes, it is pretty much instant in most cases) against what few nyx users they encounter instead of weaken their frontline against a bunch of other, more common, lineups. Since there aren’t so many nyx users out there, the only ones who are bothering to counter it are players who happen to stumble across a frontline that’s fast/bulky enough to perform well against most frontlines and also not get crushed by nyx.
It also doesn’t help that they gave nyx instant sendback with no restriction so it can be run with a diamondoid, blocking everything except for nikki that could have a chance of killing it before fermatta.
Honestly, I’m pretty sure that was just because shieldragon is a good frontline mon and you started noticing it more often since it countered you. It doesn’t make sense for shieldragon to suddenly become more popular simply to counter a newly released mythic where you can count on one hand the number of players who awakened it. High speed frontlines were already meta and they will continue to be regardless of what happens to nyx. The issue is that nyx in its current state can instantly win against a ton of these frontlines for no good reason.
You’re acting as if nyx is what’s holding high speed frontlines back, but that’s really not the case. Nyx frontlines are just sitting around, claiming a bunch of free wins against players who can’t afford to counter it lmao
What bothers me is they can’t actually just kill the accelerator before using fermata. Another thing is it has sleep immune so it can very easily be abused with OoO especially when it has instant sendback to let roaring purifier enter…
I know where I stand…
- Fermata 50TU (+50% TU to monsters)
- Fermata 50TU (+100% TU for next attack)
+100% slow that you can’t remove is ridiculously brutal. If you can’t remove the teammates in some way you’re at a huge disadvantage. I’ve played a lot with Fiona which can do +50% slow and that’s strong enough.
Even with a nerf like this, Nyx is my 2nd most wanted mythic to awaken.
Prixis , nyx , nd vixenblade . Demn devs went hard this year
it doesn’t kill tried tht on mini
What this really needs is a good old fashioned democratic poll
In the last months that I played my own setup I faced exactly 3 more people running Nyx front and all of them used my own Nyx Diamond Lilithia [stun counter] setup. It will definetely change a lot when she comes back again in a couple of months, but for the moment the whole Nyx discussion is directed almost at one particular combo.
When were Nyx and Prixis released?
OoO is dead, Nyx or Vixen didnt change that at all
And that removes nyx’s sleep immunity?

Actually, if they revert fermata to the way it was, then OoO with Onyxia Shieldragon and Oniblade is very much possible, or even with Vixen lol
they may have wanted to rectify the situation with bridalith but yes they released very very powerful monsters, be careful my objective is not the nerf that does not interest me, just that things which increase the seconds are more annoying to face that Dr.
And I hope they will continue on this line of powerful monsters for the birthday otherwise
Or just run oni and send it back to centaur or something. The option is always there.
The real question is why you would want to run onyxia, shieldragon, and oniblade with nyx
OoO is highly unreliable in high tiers since people tend to be prepared and run insomnia / camo / purifiers. Her having this passive doesn’t add that much if you ask me. The one good use of that migh be in some Lemon late-mid, for example Onyxia Nyx Deviladus into Lemon or similar stuff.
look at them all suffer, Complain about a Nyx
not knowing where the real danger lies at
