So, judging by the first level of the Shadow Arena, Chromera has already gotten the nerf he sorely needed. In my opinion, switching bloodfury to bloodthirst was the perfect move. With bloodfury, it would only have taken a single problematic monster on the enemy’s team for Chrome to spell certain doom on them. Now instead it’ll require two, which is far more reasonable. The opponent will have to be careful about how many poisoners and GTs he brings, but as long as they’re decently spread out, he should be relatively safe from Chrome.
Now the question is, was there a second change done to him? Odds are they did do something else, since pre nerf Chrome was just too strong to be able to be remedied by a single change. We know that he still has toxic killer and poison immunity, so that narrows it down to roaring enterance and instant accelerate. They’d better not have removed roaring, that would destroy him. Searguard would seriously be a better option than him in that case, even with chrome’s instant accelerate. I really hope it was accelerate that was affected. Instant accelerate is just WAY overkill. With that move Chrome would be the new Leogeist, offering the same asset as other mons, but completely devoid of any drawbacks. I think the most reasonable answer would be to make it quick acceleration instead of instant, with 50-70 TU. It’s still very fast, but he can’t just use it whenever he wants. If he ends up crashing the enemy TT’s snowball party, then he can do his job and shut down the most prominent sweeper and save his team a lot of hassle. But being able to accelerate everyone, including himself, in the process of doing that is just too much. If there’s no enemies immediately close or if he doesn’t have targets, then he can do his thing. There simply must be a catch that comes with such a good value.
So, your thoughts?
