Can we finally end AP Spam?

Well they don’t have to be spamming it, all it takes is 1 or 2 protectors up front for twig to make a significant impact on the match. Also, Twig can provide a guarantee that no protectors will remain in the enemy team while he’s around, which allows you to more readily use options that normally get walled by protectors more easily. Twig offers chemistry with the rest of his team, even in the times when he doesn’t directly contribute.

That man i don’t agree with but that’s just my opinion
PS: for some reason TOP players don’t use it

@LemonSqueezy used twig is he not a top player?

Yeah i remember he was going arround with the nick Runtwigfortheteam but if that’s his Ranking PvP team, wich i doubt it, he would be the only one

Is canis an AOE spam not a cheap strategy but AP spam is? Okay bloom happens to be a counter to something you use and you want it nerfed. Makes sense to me.

Hey man i want to make something clear for you… You or any of your clan mates will get under my skin so that said please stop getting this out of topic

We saw AP spam most during the last special rules PvP. 173 cost encourages it more and restricts our ability to counter it because we all have to create weaker teams.

I think it’s a very bad time to say whether AP spam is a problem. I also think Bloom is something unrelated. If Bloom gets nerfed there will be another monster in the future that supports AP spam and we’ll be here again. If protectors are the problem then deal with them.

As someone who runs RAW monsters quite a lot (the thing designed to counter protectors) I haven’t had any issue with AP spam teams and feel at no disadvantage for running these monsters. Hence, there are counters built into the game that do work properly.

AP spam is still something can be built around. The nerfs to it probably weren’t intended to kill it completely, just stop it from being a dominant meta (which I think everyone here admits it isn’t).

No we saw it most during the 1 epic or lower per legend rule. Never mind that was what you referred to I’m dumb

@squinty1880 Please don’t harrass Jesus with such personal things. Also, I removed all your efforts above to derail the thread. Please do not bring up the kind of topics you did there.

Thanks

Let’s buff twig by removing the limit on guardian execute.

Maybe removing stun entrance or adding another passive instead

Stunning entrance is so good for its use in PvE!

Hahaha RunTwig4TheTeam was me and it was one of my top 10 team. It has its problems though. If we want to buff Twig, remove the skill where it comes back. I used to run it with Atra to kill it myself.

Don’t touch bloom. I don’t have it, but I think although I think it’s really good it doesn’t need a nerf.

Expect a LOT of AP spam during ranked The low cost lends itself to AP spam because it’s a cheap. (In terms of cost) so be prepared for it. I don’t use Twig right now because if it’s rebirth, so here’s a few things you can do to help against AP spam.

Autopoison - This makes an AP spammer’s life difficult. Diamonds, flutter purple, aluminoid and other APs with HG all get one shot. It’s a good soft counter. I used Cobra as my stun absorber and for this reason.

Husky - I know most people won’t have this, but when the darkside was at its prime I was screaming for people to use it. Stuns bloom and there’s no way for GT unless they kill it, which they usually can’t.

Drax - peircing PKiller

Run raw monsters - During the old dolphreeze days I developed a strategy of diamond lock. Leaving the diamonds and simply making it 2 vs 4 by using so much raw. Use this (or stealth) and you will be able to leave the the protectors, kill bloom and then leave the protectors there.

If anyone doesn’t have a large amount of legends at their disposal, run flutter yellow and the roaring entrance retribution and stealth teammate monster. (I forget its name)

Can someone talk in a language comprehensible to humans?

After AP Spam nerf it clearly stop being Meta

???

AP means Autoprotectors. (Once upon a time it may have meant Auto poison but this is rarely used now)

Spam - to run lots

Nerf - to weaken a monster/ strategy by changing its moveset etc

Meta - the strategies that are common at the time

Thank you! I finally understand what this thread is about!

There is not only Twig…Assassinate do the job too, ofc your monster should be fast enough to avoid stealths…
Bloom is not a real threat, a shocking entrance can be fatal because it absorbs 4 stun.

When you play more you’ll realise that bloom always has Camo and top AP spammers will easily give turn to bloom using Protectors with Give turn such as

Houdinioid
Aegis dragon
Flutter purple

What makes it much easier is that protect killer can’t be redirected. If you struggle against AP spam use the tips I wrote earlier. I don’t think it needs to be nerfed though. If you know it’s coming you can beat it.

I made an abbreviation guide a super long time ago. It’s kinda gotten buried in the KD guides somewhere, not sure how often people look at it

Been getting reports from someone who’ll remain anonymous, so @Saitama @Anne try to not be quite so provocative please.
