After AP Spam nerf it clearly stop being Meta but a lot ot Top players still using it and that’s because they’re taking advantage of it not being Meta so people don’t have counter it as a priority in their strategies and that way they can easily keep getting top ranks in PvP i have only one suggestion (i would appreciate more ideas).
My suggestion is Nerf Bloom again
Reasons
1st that monster is the heart of AP Spam so nerfing it would be the final of that strategy and the final of its use by the ones who take advantage of it (as i explained before)
2nd Bloom stills as one of the top 10 most used monsters in PvP so it’s a real problem
3rd Bloom stills OP but no one talks about it because the top players who use it don’t want it nerfed again
That’s what I’m saying there is not enough AP Spam to make you have Twig in your team besides that stun entrance it’s more a curse than a blessing and that’s why some people still using AP Spam and get to high ranks thanks to it
Well use it in fl then. The stun entrance doesn’t immediately happen. And you kill any protectors.
You say there is not enough AP spam to use twig, yet you also say high rank players use AP spam. This tells me you are not a high level player if only they use it and you aren’t seeing it enough to warrant using twig.
Even if you don’t have Twig, AP Spam isn’t as effective as it was back then. RAW moves can bypass protectors, so perhaps you should add a couple RAW monsters in your team.
I have em mate but remember Bloom’s Camouflage and Self Shielding it stills really hard to get rid of and in top of that you have houdinoid so you can’t stun it either so that’s why i think RAW would be a reasonable solution
Twig is a massive counter to APs
It just seems like a joke that people still complain about it,twig its accessible to almost every player
If u don’t want to use it that’s your problem
I think people need to figure out ways to use twig so that he’s not a detriment if he can’t find enough protectors. Maybe in a cannibalize front? Why not? Or put him in a fodder lineup so that he can distribute shields and be of direct use. That way you can do your part to keep AP spam at bay while not hindering your team in the process.
When I’ve used twing I’ve done it that way with a monster alongside who allows me to get rid of it BUT you’ll have 2 mons in your FL with the single goal to counter AP Spam so it narrows down a lot your possibilities to find a way to counter other strategies
