Bonus moves op for quest.......

You’re fighting with a large number of monsters, not just a one monster vs. one monster type of situation. Randomness is inevitable. Fights won’t turn out the same way each time. The game would have to be turned into 1v1 fighting for it to be even close to what you apparently want.

I find myself losing almost half my lineup before I even get a turn sometimes. My monsters are a high enough level to compete with them, but sometimes all of the other teams monsters get between 2-4 bonus actions every time.

Against a single boss, I get it. Against a person that has 15+ monsters is a little out of hand.

My strategy is to grind for maybe 2-3 hours before moving on to the next area after each town, but I’m finding that 3 hours is starting to become insufficient to be able to move on to the next area.

I got quest facing up against 3 leviathion and they can kill with one hit and they got 18 bonus moves yes that’s right 18 friggin bonus moves… That’s way over powered I lost 8 creatures with just the first leviathan

Try using stormfoxes or raiohs for their stun…it’s about the only way to win, unless you’re very high level.

Most are 50 to 65

8 with the first leviathan then had to wait for the next two to wipe my force down to 4 left before I got a turn… Fix it

I merged your topic into a similar one.

Clears up traffic

Not trying to be rude but that’s a load of doo doo… The boss also get a ton of Heath with an attack that can easy do over 1000 damage most creature in the 60’s can’t absorbed more the 1 or 2 attacks… Combine that with 18 bonus moves… Yes I counted you team of 30 is suddenly a team of 5 before you get a move… It’s over powered and needs adjusting… This is a new game and it’d far from perfect

That’s laughable… Rewards my butt I got 50 gold for arcing that’s barely enough for 1/4 of a gold egg… Top notch reward… Not!!!

Please be aware of your language. And FYI, the rewards he meant are recipes. They are very worth looking for. Please get your facts right before complaining, please.

The recipe fights are easy compared to the 3 leviathan and butt is not a swear word… So get off your high horse

Let’s relax gentlemen

Anyway, There are many recommendations in this thread in how to handle the leviathans and their many bonus actions, Chop.

The reward is a recipe and it is well worth the effort, I can assure you

So please, calm down, take a deep breath and think about ways to beat the leviathans

Sorry Deadpool I will try to calm down… It’s hard as I have little tolerance for fools…

You get a dreadwolf recipe from the fight, which is also a recipe fight. Plus, the leviathan fight is way easier compared to the final omegawyrm fight.

Yes, butt is not swear word. but just imo , it is a somewhat rude word to use.

Dead I’m already calm from the start, but that last word in the post above me. Hmm well… Idc.

I’m not saying you weren’t Honour, just trying to keep the peace.

And Chop, I understand you have no patience for “fools” as you have so kindly put it but anger and lashing out at others does not solve anything.

We’re always here to help and yes, some parts of the game are very frustrating but I like to believe frustration is part of the game. That said, keep calm and we’ll get you your solution to the leviathan quest

Just takes time. If the levithans move first out your weakest monsters first before you go in battle. bonus hit rates are a little high, maybe if they lowered the amount of times they hit or happen in a row, that’d be great. But I found that putting the weakest first before heading in battle will spare your hard hitters. And it will take you more than one try, cause you may get lucky and not get smashed by as many bonus attacks. The Levithan quest drove me mental. But just have patience. :3

Huh. A good amount of ideas. Most of mine have been said but i have a suggestion. In Smt nocturne most of the boss fights are heavily modified versions of enemies that you could get in the future. I think some of the boss fights should be like that were it would of course have higher stats per the usual standard but instead of insane bonus moves give it unique moves or moves it usually does not have to make it harder. Like the 3 levithan quest each one should have their own unique moves set to make it more strategic. One has plenty of bonus actions but lower damage output. One has high defense and okay attack and can use element cancels without killing itself. The last should be all about attacks and has high attack but low defense and speed to help it to be beatable.

I have beaten all of the quests without useing too many stun skins. i feel that it is balanced the way it is. if bosses didnt have alot of bonus actions, you would just be easily killing monsters that happen to get a turn after 3 of your monsters turns. the reason they are called bosses is that they are harder than normal monsters to beat.

If you think it’s tough, you probably haven’t spent much time on the game.

I’m able to take down bosses within a minute 90% of the time. Strategy, training, etc.

And no, I don’t use stun skin. It’s cruel. I don’t approve of throwing away monsters. Every monster has a purpose, so the whole “use it as a lamb to save your other peeps.” Monsters all have useful skills…except Yetigo. Screw Yetigo.

Anyways, I’ve started multiple save files. I was not a Beta Tester, but I can plow through the storyline with ease (until the Crescent island. It gets somewhat difficult then). Bosses can be taken down. You just need to strategize. Most people have dragons. Vengeance is a move for a reason. So is haste. Same with Chain Slow, Shock, Last Stand, Showdown, all Bane moves, No Guard, and Guardian…hint hint. Moral of the story: it’s possible. Especially if you have Angelon, Subzeratops, and a Wyrm after the battle has progressed. Just saying…

Stun Skin is one of those safety net abilities. You don’t use it to destroy your monster to get an advantage, it’s just waiting there just in case your monster does happen to die. That makes it quite a nice ability.
