Atlantyrant SS incorrect description

This description states: Deals lethal damage to ALL enemies and allies that are poisoned. However, it doesn’t work on poisoned camouflaged monsters. So either the description or the way the move works needs to be changed. Also, it will kill my own camouflage monsters but not the enemy’s so I don’t really know what’s the logic in that.

Edit I’m sure someone is going to mention Tezca but it’s slightly different as his move is purely an AoE move (although I agree it should miss your own camouflage monsters).

Camouflaged allies are vulnerable to all of your attacks including AoE, instead the enemy’s camouflaged monsters are immune to AoE attacks it doesn’t matter if they’re poisoned or not

I know but then the description is misleading and needs to be corrected

Well Purify All is similar in its text and affects your own Camo mons but not the opponents as well.

That is something similar to what happens to Delugazar with the double thirst for blood, his passive says that his attacks ignore maintaining territory and other barriers, but the reality is that he does not ignore camouflage.

Actually that description is fine. Unless there is a problem in your translation. Nevertheless, camouflage isn’t considered as a “barrier”.

That’s Delugazar not Atlantyrant bro

I know man, I was replying to people that keep derailing the thread. The thread is about the misleading description of Atlantyrant’s SS. They simply need to add the sentence: Does not affect enemy monsters with the Camouflage passive.

Is normal bro, Atlant SS is an active skill and Camo monsters are immune only to active skills.
You can hit a camo monster with Floccu entrance but not with Purify All.
They don’t need to add anything bro, is a known game meccanic.

Camo is not a barrier. Barrier is only shield.

And water is wet.

My point is, in this case it’s wrong to say ALL poisoned enemy monsters… You need to look at this from an outside perspective.

You kinda seem like you dont want to accept it because you just want to be right… there are a number of other skills that use this wording.

Purify All - removes poison and sleep from all monsters on the battlefield
Shock - deals minor damage to all monsters on the battlefield except the user
Sleep Bomb - has a 100% chance of putting all monsters to sleep on the battlefield

This kind of wording is not a new thing. Camo/Stealth makes the monster immune to the activated skills of the enemy team, but not your own. As stated earlier this is why things like Flocco, Solblaze Sleep All Revenge and mons with Stunning Entrance hit Camo/Stealthed mons but something like Stun Burst does not. The difference is activated skills versus passive skill.

@Exu just check every description of every hit all move. They are all written in the same way and it doesnt need any further explanation that camo monsters wont get hit by hit all attacks because thats the logical consequence from the way that the camo skill description is phrased

The whole reason why I created this topic was because I’ve had to explain to several people: yeah it says ALL but actually no… So it’s not about me.

I think this is the problem. Would you get it as a new player? Also would it not be easier if you could see straight away from your monster’s skill description instead of having to check the enemy’s? There are some descriptions that are valid for every situation but others where you need to ‘know’ stuff before you can fully understand.

Anyway I hope you understand why I brought this up. If everyone is happy with the current descriptions then so am I.

Why are you focusing on atlantyrants ss when it is consistent with all the other active skills? If they change altantyrant’s ss description, they’d probably have to do the same for all the other active skills. The logic behind atlantyrants ss is that it behaves in the same way as other active skills that are not ss like spectrefox’s purify all. With that in mind, there is nothing inconsistent since it is supposed to be designed like a regular skill with one use. The reason why your camo monsters are hit is the same reason why purify all or OoO hits all of your monsters regardless of stealth.

Edit: I see that you mentioned some new players were a bit confused with the ss description. There is no point in stating that it can’t hit camo mons because it is an active skill, not a passive. If they were to change the ss description to warn that camo mood won’t get hit, they would have to do the same with other active skills if they want to remain consistent. Sorry if this is repetitive I’m typing this out on mobile and can’t change stuff that well.

I believe the confusing thing about Atlantyrant was the ‘all poisoned’ monsters aspect. The same thing can apply to skills like blight bomb and morphean bomb. Even if the camouflaged monster is poisoned or sleeping, it will not die contrary to the description.

I understand how it works but believe me the active/passive mechanic can be confusing for new players… Anyway it seems I was wrong and the descriptions are good. Thanks for all the replies! Please lock this thread @ItsSherlock
