This thread is making me think that it’s almost been 2 years since the first major crackdown on AP spam.
Yet, the Devs still haven’t done the most important thing: preventing two (or more) protectors with the same chance of redirecting from protecting one another.
Which means, an AP shouldn’t be able to redirect an attack aimed at another AP.
A monster with Protect Teammates shouldn’t be able to redirect an attack from an ally with Protect Focus or Auto Protect+.

They did, but only for specific moves. Most importantly they made all protector-killing moves not get redirected so you can always deal high damage to the protector of your choice.
As for normal attacks being redirected… the one you target has a higher chance of being hit. So we do have some influence over it.
