Why a legend or SE is considered a DUPE?
And why not?
If you have it already, and you get it again, it’s a duplicate. Aka a dupe.
Dupe is short for duplicate, meaning copy. When you hatch a monster you already own, it is considered a dupe by the game and combined with your existing one to reduce that monsters tu and increase it’s speed.
If you do not own a copy of the monster you hatch then it’s not a dupe and you just get the monster.
Alternately colored versions of certain legendaries are exceptions, they don’t fuse if you already have the original version. It’s rather handy for having both the evolved and unevolved versions of it for the option to save team cost.
