A New Game Mechanic for Neo Monsters?

I have rose from the depths of inactiveness to bring a thread which may never see the light of day.

Well intros done so what do you guys think could be a new game mechanic for Neo Monsters? Because the game is really lacking new content(said on my previous post). In game transformations? Special Attacks? Boosting skills? Any of that.

Monster fusion. In fusing two thots, we could get a monster with 4 tits and 2 asses! Imagine the pussibilities :scream:

Jokes aside there are many cool possible fusions and it would bring more versatility to the game. Also something to do.

We had that in monster island didn’t we? It’s fine if you can catch everything

Wait what

Monster Island looks like a good game for me, though its kind of limited because of ios

Or if you can choose whether to fuse a dupe or gain a new copy to fuse with another monster

This has now become my favourite forum quote of all time

If anything , they could add customisable stats through accessories or items like in evertale

I have three ideas for new game mechanics in Neo Monsters:

• Playable Boss monsters

Basically, you can put a boss monster in your team! Inflated stats, more skills (active and passive) than normal but with downsides: massive cost, high moves seconds and can only be put in FL. Of course this would be initially exclusive to some game modes, in PvE events.

• Auto Casting

A passive skill with a condition that gets checked every amount of time. If that condition applies, the skill gets automatically casted without turn or seconds loss.

For example, Autocast: Purify means, say, every 70 seconds, if an ally is poisoned or asleep, the monster casts Purify.

• More status effects

For example:

Break: this monster’s HG and Shields get ignored.

Spike: this monster deals fixed damage to the attacking enemy.

Confusion: attacks you can choose the target of now target random enemies

Burning?

poison, but with much more damage per TU, but lasts much shorter

Burning monsters can be affected by critical Flame Eater

If they are water type or are hit by a water type, they stop burning

I was thinking an effect like cauterised. Ie damage cannot be healed

Berserk: this monster uses its skills randomly on random targets

Blinded: this monster’s single hit attacks miss and do not do damage

This is a dumb idea, but…

Duo battles! [aka lag 9000]

2 people can choose up to 10 monsters each (110 cost each), and are in control of the half they send out

Also, the 2 monsters on each side do not count as a team together (throw, last stand, and things like that ignore teammate’s monsters)

I’d personally love monster statistics. Lifetime kills, total time spent alive, average kill streak, allies purified, times healed from HG, etc. Just fun little numbers like that that give a solid idea of how much your loyal partners are doing for ya. Would certainly be more reliable than the questionably accurate “most used” sort criterion.

How about limit it to last 50 battles?

So that the stats would be modern

But that would defeat the purpose of recording if the numbers just gradually fall back down, wouldn’t it? I’d personally much prefer the absolute complete picture over just what you’ve been deciding to use lately.

Also, 2v2s are a very intriguing prospect, but the game just ain’t coded for it so doubtful it’ll ever happen. And due to a lack of any sort of chat system in game, it’d be very difficult to coordinate with your teammate in both the planning and battle phases, and could lead to a lot of salty moments where your teammate accidentally screws you over or just doesn’t carry their weight.

How about list both, so that it can be MEGA CHONK STATS and modern stats?

Would it list times poisoned, slept, and number of damage taken as well?

How about just in duel mode?

Then, it could still be fun i guess, but it would also be more coordinated than random people.

So I came up with this awesome and completely new idea for a new game mechanic .

Let’s call it Burn !

Burning targets will take 1.5x damage .

When a monster attacks a burning target, it will burn too. And spread from monster to monster through attacks . Only way to stop it is by cleansing . Burn will do small damage when turn ends .
