A little rant

Isnt rng linked with odds and getting unlucky linked with odds !!! Get real man you got screwed up because of odds

Sorry for that, but in my mind there’s a fairly big difference between perception of being unlucky and actually being unlucky. So many people have complained on this forum about being unlucky when they’ve actually got an average result or sometimes even better than average. I’ve wanted to discourage people from complaining about that type of thing, but I know it’s pretty heartless to do so.

At the end of the day it’s RNG making us feel horrible either way because our brains want consistent results. I definitely sympathise with that.

The one link is that because mythics are 1% chance (pretty low) the variance in when you get them (via RNG) is higher so it’s more likely for someone to end up with a below/above average result over a long period of time.

However, complaining with vague statements like “the odds are bad” and wanting changes that basically equal reducing the price of stuff is not a band wagon I jump on. People complain about odds no matter what the drop rate is and of course the game is going to be designed so things are expensive because that’s how they make m0ney from people.

The 30th pack pity time knocks off the bottom 10.5% of bad luck, which seems fair enough to me. It helps people who are truly being unlucky.

The one pity timer idea I would get behind is if there was a mechanic that if you hatched a copy of a mythic when your pity mythic was fewer than 10 packs away then the pity timer reset to 20 rather than 30. If you got the pity mythic then it would reset to 30 as normal.

E.g. You get the mythic in the 24th pack, then the next would be guaranteed in 20 packs. If you, again, got it in 13th pack then it would reset to 20 again. If the third happened in 10th pack then the pity timer would reset to 30.

What this would do is help with those edge cases where somebody is getting unlucky but not being helped by the pity timer.

Come on man there is no need to use politicians wording here. Be honest to yourself for once

Your upset because the odds where not in your favor and said am unlucky and blaming RNG. RNG in itself refer to the probability where probability and odds are the same word in 99% of cases when talking casually

Your more upset because you had to spend m0ney on your gems, that you feel scammed that you did not get a mythic copy in 400 or 800 gems

1% doesnt need to be changed but what needs to be changed is how the pity timer works, 800 and 1200 gems which equal pack 20 and 30 should guarantee a mythic copy that would solve everyone problem. Its like your cap ceiling at 2400 gems which many games do and no reset until you hit the 30th pack

Thanks for telling how I feel. All this does is show you don’t understand me or what I was expressing here.

I’ll put it simply:
I have consistently had bad luck for about 3 years and it’s been bothering me. Gorgodrake has been a sore point because I got two copies 5 years ago and after all this time I finally awakened it but it’s taken 66 packs in total to get a single copy. The final stretch being 24 packs was enough to wind me up that I wanted to come rant here. I also added a bunch of other stuff on my mind like how it ruined my enjoyment of the good result from spending that day and how I’ve put so much time and energy into this game I’ve loved for years I really wish it would just give me average luck (this other stuff is basically just part of the overall emotional rant and not the core component).

To put even simpler:
The rant wasn’t to ask for change or make a point about anything. I was ranting because I have been consistently unlucky and needed to vent.

You’ve tried to use the post to spin your own agenda, as you always do. Asking for changes to the pity system, making points that I didn’t make and then getting into annoying discussion with me. We don’t need to talk more about it. I hope what I’ve said now has made everything clear to you.

We are sorry to hear that. Not only your story, but we’ve heard similar stories from other players as well. I totally understand. It sucks to have bad luck. I’ve tried a few gacha games myself, so I can totally feel you. Wish you a better luck next time!

For the players who asked for the system change:

The fact is, compared to our other games, Neomon is already easier to get what you’re targeting. For example, Evertale and Tokyo Debunker have pity counters that require 500 rolls, and their characters need 5 copies to awaken. They also cost 10 7-Star tickets to exchange for 1 Mythic copy in their stores. Not sure we can really go easier than what we have now.

But to be fair, Neomon has PvP events and a main event. We do want players to try as many monsters as possible. We can’t guarantee it yet, but we can try to make earning gems easier, through PvP or login bonuses for everyone, so recovering from one bad luck event will be a bit faster. But before that, we need to improve some of our old systems and fix some bad coding in the game in order to implement more stuff and features.

Do you have any plans for completely abolishing normal shrine and significantly increasing gems in PvP and pve rewards, it sucks getting 600 ish gems continuously

Just be thankful you got more than a hundred gems in just a few clicks

I just really think u should give more value to rank, those rank rewards really suck, bruh like 10 gems? That’s 2 singles and I don’t know how many eggs a person need to open to get top 1, feel like playing for nothing more than the satisfaction and we do need to put a lot of effort on it, so I don’t want nothing crazy but at least something balanced

No one in ranked is really playing for the rewards—aside from the icons, that is.

Even if the rewards were multiplied by 10, it still wouldn’t come close to covering what it takes to maintain a top-tier account.

80 gems for top 50? I would take that

And not just the gems, but the Legendary Potions, only 3 for top 1? And only 3 ppl getting them? It’s crazy

Bruh,is still a rank, where do u place “The best of te month” and u get gems for two singles and half, I know the reward will never pay off the hard work u need to do for get that spot, but we could definitely give more value to our play

PvP ranked rewards are kind of weird.

If you look at the leaderboard rewards alone, they look bad for the effort put into playing.

If the player is getting the tier rewards at the same time, they are very efficient for the time spent playing (more efficient than anywhere else in the game).

I’ve always done it so I get the wins/tier rewards at the same time as pushing in ranked. However, I imagine that most of the people going for top 10 play a lot of PvP throughout the month and all they’re getting are the leaderboard rewards.

So, weirdly, the people who are getting the top rewards are probably getting the least efficient rewards for their effort.

Is this really a problem? I don’t think so. Those people are choosing to do lots of extra PvP for their own fun. However, it’s most likely the reason behind why people complain about the leaderboard rewards being low.

The way I see it it’s just that devs prefer a more even field when it comes to gem distribution. Instead of putting top rewards at 100+ gems, they would just spread out them as smaller rewards here and there so most/everyone can get obtain them.

Yeah, I’m very glad for that. This game doesn’t require grinding for hours, spending bucket loads of m0ney, constant guild coordination and reliance on others for their activity, playing at particular times of day or continually competing on leaderboards in order to properly benefit from the rewards available.

So many games require one of those, often more, and they make it more a chore than a game in the long-term.

The one thing this game does have that’s annoying is the RNG hatches, but that’s a very successful model so I can forgive them for that even though it gets frustrating at times.

Yesterday shrine and today hatching result. I always get betrayed.
