Why this?

Why Cyclozar can’t retreat from the battlefield from the start, yet Cyclozar Shiny and the titans can. someone explain to me

Well exit plan takes the monster to a random spot on the team instead of the end… if you’re looking for why they made it thought way, I don’t have any idea. The devs don’t share why they do what they do with me :joy:

Because when Cyclo was released they realised it would be OP and then afterwards they forgot.

Is ages that I am saying that retreat at the start of the battle should be disallowed.

It was a different time back when Cyclozar was created. It was an extremely good FL monster so having the fail-case of immediately doing exit plan was deemed too powerful. Also, it would be the fastest way to get 5th spot onto the battlefield at the time by quite a long way unless you wanted to do Zib/Lava cannibalise (which costs a monster in your team). Zeuswyrm similarly got exit plan and it’s even more important there because the monster is 99% speed.

However, they changed their mind on the 4th anniversary when they brought out the titans, 90% speed and able to retreat right away. I believe the Devs wanted to enable FL combos with these 16-cost monsters as something new for the game because they thought by that point the kind of teams people build can handle it.

So Cyclozar having exit plan is a relic of the past, with the difference being it’s to a random spot in your team (as GMagic pointed out).
