All the sleep legendaries pretty much (soulstealer, stormloch, shadowcat, Wraithcaptain, polareon, goldtail), lavaronix, aegisdragon, gearhound, zephyros, frost rider, serapheon, shinobidragon.
A mixture of those monsters will be your base, then you might have to tech in other monsters depending on the meta
The monsters wjich are mandatory for the current best sleep team is Goldtail, Shadowstalker and Stormloch. These teamed with a stun absorber with purify can defeat literally any team if they can get put up at the same time. To set them up it can be good to use a bunch of stun bombers. Buckingham listed other good alternatives but stun absorber, Shadowstalker, Stormloch and Goldtail are the ones you want up at the same time for optimal success.
Goldtail stormloch and shadowhunter combined with a good frontline opener. In my case I’m using soulstealer as the sleep tactic transitions naturally from the soulstealer frontline.
I’d also make sure you have Enough protectors to defend your sleepers from sleepkillers. In the end you only need one tank with stun absorb Alive and a good backup plan should your midgame sleep line fall.
Below is under the assumption this is for PvP.
Things to note : you don’t wanna use polareon he has no sleep ability safe for dream entrance and dreamhunt takes a target to 1 HP or death depending if the monster has HG and then you won’t have to waste another move trying to kill it.
Polareon is a waste of space as he does not provide for an extra targeted sleep.
Don’t bother with using give turners between your sleepers. They are not needed as all targets should be asleep.
Don’t use protectors that have no stun absorb. They will get stunned just like your sleepers will which increases the chance for opponent monsters to wake up. ( note even aegis is not good here - you might use him in the frontline for a frontline setup but do not use it in the middle of your sleepers , you will regret it )
Don’t bother with healers in between your sleep line. They should not be needed cause they self sustain. Only a healer / purifier at slot 5 would be good to counter things like Oniblade.
- don’t bother with stun entrance either. The legendary shock entrance mons and things like serapheon are of better use in your backup plan.
You do not need many Team turners but they are nice for midgame should your stun absorb tank fall use a Team Turner to fill the gap - Do note careful when you use team turn don’t blow it mindlessly.
Further than that you do not want to waste monsters on sleeping - transition into something else, poison , throw tactic , night night setup, assisted line - if you stuff up on sleep monsters you will end up having no counter should the opponent poison themselves or have a large Arsenal of twin killers at their disposal ready to pounce on your follow up sleepers as they come in.
I wish I can run a sleep team but I can’t even a sleep monster 
The new valorpup could be interesting since he can remove poison from enemy.
Leogeist, aegis, goldtail, and either stormloch or shadowhunter would do you quite well. Wraith captain is a beast too. Then you’ve got stuff for cycling through like Blitzdragon, shinobidragon, polareon, serazael. Oniblade is a great lead monster especially combine with aegis. I love using a low TU monster with accelerate. Even little leobolt does great as he stuns coming in, accelerates goldtails sleep to 40 seconds at +0 and has protector killer if you are using polareon to nightmares grip. Soulstealer is great too.

You can look on the egg page which monsters are currently available in the egg. I thought he has always available but unless my eyes are deceiving me I’m wrong he doesn’t seem to be there.
He’s a must because potent sleep is 50tu and has 75% chance compared to regular sleep which is slower and less likely.
Goldtail is special egg only. He was around earlier this year. He’s essential to my sleep team, it wouldn’t be anywhere near as good without him.
oh wow that sucks then. looks like im gonna have to wait it out =[ currently dont have a good team yet which is able to down end content. was hoping i could make a sleep team since i have afew of the good sleep legends but without goldtail gonna be too hard i guess
u can still make one, it’s just not gonna have the same oomph u know? it’s never a bad idea to play around with new ideas and see what works while u wait. I just happend to get lucky, as my first two legends were Soulstealer and Goldtail.
If you have a lot of sleep monsters, for pve I wouldn’t say it’s not worth trying. It depends on what else you have.
You can use super epics with death sentence and sleep, sleep bombs, dream hunt is very powerful. They need stun protection though.
I only have epic dreamhunt, so im not using sleep team.

I’m with you a 110% I’ve barely got anything anymore, I use 4-5 star poison mons ;-; and a stun team at the end leading to godfeather
Tbh as good as sleep is there are a few alternatives for the end game. Night night is as always very good for rushing through cpu battles, poison can work if you know what you’re doing and stun is surprisingly effective. Sleep is arguably the best pvp team simply because the opponent cannot do anything.
It depends on what kind of sleep team you want to run. In my experience, theres a lot of things you can do with a sleep team. Most common is with dreamhunt. Another is with bombers. And my personal favorite, death sentence to bloodthirst. Each tactic requires different teams and each has its pros and cons. Sleep all strat requires a lot of luck to pull of but is an all rounder for a sleep team. Sleep single or potent sleep has better odds but you can only use it on one. One on one is best for bombers or death sentence. And with sleep bomb, you must have a purifier or dreamhunter next to your team in order to make full use of it.
Yeah but with the egg system it will all depend on what you have. I myself had to change strategy constantly because of this. I started the game using stun and timestrike. Then to stun to bomber. Eventually I got my first double desparate so life switch all to D.D. to give turn. Then my first SE bloodcrave timestriker so stun bloodcrave heal. Then i got lucky with 2 SE twin death sentence bloodthirster and so my current lineup was formed. And even after i finally got my first and second legend finally at rank 80 and 83, I still use the lineup I developed as the game furthers on. I myself always wanted a poison team but got sleep instead. And to those complaining this game is p2w, I haven’t paid to get good monsters yet still beat the game with mons gained in game and through events.

Got quite a few legs but no omega’s as they take forever to get! Coming from a pay2win player I struggle so much on these events lol (I’m probably just bad though) I guess it’s nicer for f2p players as it feels more rewarding to finally get another. Goodjob on the #5
