I beat them as well when I was running ldiefaeth, but it can’t compare to the megalo and kattmander frontlines before the buff.
I appreciate your explanation but you can’t say a monster it’s difficult to use only because you choose to make it harder than it has to be. It’s like me trying to use Momo as a sweeper and saying that she is slow and need lots of building around to work and she needs a buff. You are trying to overuse Nyx and claiming she needs a lot of thinking to be usable. I understand that you spend money on a Mythic and want to use it as much as possible, but sometimes the support is way more important than the aggression, like in the case of Nyx. The effect of Fermata is so powerful that she honestly doesn’t even need any other moves to be powerful.
It’s a nerf that 1 % won’t change anything but will make his tu doubled if he meet nyx I like to use that monster I’m FL ,why should it change now because of nyx !!
Also the whole problem about nyx that no one talks about is exactly this one !
I’m with ending the race of high speed fls , nyx is introduced to slow down those high speed fls but why is she brutally making monsters with 50,51,52, 53 completely unusable! Why angelion or elempox are being affected the same way as 90% speed ones , making their tu doubled and cost more than 200 tu makes them unplayable and completely shut down
There is also a huge difference between the Nyx user and the non-Nyx user. There are people who went from people who couldn’t even beat you to guys who when you meet them, it’s a guaranteed victory for them. Not because the allies are so strong no, just because Fermata is a bad skill that once you take that it’s over. The best players as you say are not even able to win easily with full spam mythics but with Nyx it’s another story.
You even look at GMagic entered the top 5 (bruh) I don’t want to obscure these skills or the fact that at the time it was one of the best in the game but I can say without fear And in view of not fighting in the rankings of the last three months which he has not without Nyx he would not have gone so far at this time
Before the buff, nyx actually was fairly difficult to use at its highest potential. The midgame was really important because of how badly you get hit by counter frontlines and most nyx users never got that part right. It’s definitely a lot easier to use now that most of the severe nyx counters are out of the picture tho.
He’s gotten top 1 at least twice in the past. He usually doesn’t grind as much these days, that’s all.
I didn’t face him personally this season, but the last three I can assure you that he played like anything but a player capable of being top 1. The times are no longer the same I suppose, I have no doubt he can do it but I’m sure this time it’s partly because of Nyx
Since when is having a speed increase a nerf? Regardless of whether it’s because of Nyx or not it’s a buff. He was never built to be with Nyx and the fact that it can no longer be used in Nyx teams (it was by far the best option for this strategy) is more of a good thing than a bad thing
Since that 1% will make his tu doubled
Right against Nyx
Would you mind sharing the percentage of players who own an awakened Nyx vs those who actually used it?
GMagic has always had a very impressive account and got many top positions when he has pushed. He has no issue doing well, with or without Nyx. Please don’t even try going there with points like this because it’ll just cause drama.
@PurpleHeart @ewertonrodrigo @CFN_Dreamworld Not a warning and I see none of you have posted super recently but you were slipping into endless/circular debating when this thread was re-opened. Please avoid that!
I love this. Right now it’s such an obvious choice for Nyx teams and encourages them to build light+shadow setups. I’d prefer Nyx to encourage a more diverse array of setups to go for. Ldiefaeth is also horrible to meet in the mirror because who’s goes first matters a lot and we already have that in Nyx mirror with fermata, it’s not a nice play experience.
Otherwise…
The two ideas I would love as a redesign are:
- Turn fermata into a 30TU move that slows only the next move done by the monsters and give it a (high?) use limit.
- Make fermata only affect damage moves and probably make it 100TU again.
The first is the idea I’ve had since Nyx’s release and voiced a bit already. The second is one I had just the other day and it would undoubtedly require a lot of coding to implement.
Ultimately, I don’t think fermata by design is a fun move to play with or against. It also is deceptive where it looks kinda broken even if in reality it’s far more match-up dependent than you’d think, requires restrictive team building and often results in your starting the match from a big disadvantage. That’s why I’d like it changed, not for a power level reason.
I hope the Dev team can consider making a change so Nyx becomes a more fun monster but still retains its power and general design. The changes made in the recent update were good, but clearly there’s massive backlash from the community that are unhappy they cannot kill it before the first fermata any more.
My goal was not to attack anyone, be disrespectful, diminish a person, or even create drama. Just a fact that you all can recognize if you were all good times that it is because of the recent NYx buff which made it inevitable that many people took good places this season
Feel like you probably need to actually place first to know what playing like a #1 player feels like
This has got to be the wildest stray I’ve ever caught from someone I don’t know.
Becomes more competent after come and talk
Noob
This feels unwarranted, so I’m going to move on.
I spesificly left and took a nap becauze of this i and will not replay to anything replied to me further i think i made my opinion known people can agree or disagree as they see fit
There’s been a lot of talk here in this thread, so it’s a lot to think about. In short, the problem with Nyx is not his speed, it is his fermata and his stupid defense, if this is balanced a little everything will be fine.
The reason i say this the monster would die, because its too slow for the fast team and will be heavily punished by fermata. Making yin yang cost 272 tu. Imagine this, he kills two monster to bring in two fast sweepers at the same time while going to 272 tu its game over.
Think of the consequences before you run your mouth
Where it is now at 49speed it acts a counter to nyx teams and a supporter making it a double edged sword.
Trust me nyx teams have other options. Don rilla and vixenblade could be 5 or 6 and you sleep lock after farmata. It would be more of a buff then a nerf to nyx teams.
If you want to counter nyx teams you should do it in the opposite direction, lower the speed of 50 second monsters to 49 that way the pool that fermata effect is much lower, and players can counter nyx with 49 seconds monsters
