Its a common FL and i played against it couple if times.
But the biggest counter i had is GF FL and beasts with don rilla
@GMagic Here’s the main points in support of nyx being too oppressive that have been discussed in this thread:

Nyx has much better matchups across the board than any other strat right now. It beats most fast frontlines, has good or even matchups against slow frontlines that aren’t particularly common anyway, and there isn’t a significant amount of nyx hard counters since most of them got nerfed. In other words, nyx teams are the strongest in the meta and nothing else comes close as the moment. That’s pretty significant even if this alone doesn’t necessarily mean it needs a nerf.

Past pvp data: Nyx was already quite strong before it got an extra 9.5k defense. We had around half a dozen seasons where a nyx user came really close to getting top 1 or did get top 1. Do note that if I wasn’t playing, there probably would be 5 or more nyx top 1s not counting this past season. There were also a good number of top 10 placements.

All of the above happened while there were a bunch of fast frontlines that had a good chance of hard countering nyx. Most of those frontlines now cannot counter nyx. The ones that can are generally inconsistent against plume or are third rate teams. There are a few fast teams that can sometimes beat nyx even with fermata, but they clearly weren’t common enough to stop the top bracket from being dominated by nyx.

Now that a huge portion of nyx counters got nerfed, we have nyx users in top 1 and 3-7. There were also quite a few other nyx users that weren’t quite as successful because either their teams weren’t as well made or they didn’t play as many tickets.
In short, the reasons for nyx being oppressive come from overall matchups, significant counters being nerfed, past results from pvp data, and pvp data post buff. That seems like a pretty good argument to me.

And this is a good example , Geoceron, who cannot be described as very fast, is nevertheless infected by Nyx and what happens to his slander? A ■■■■

Now look at this team and dare tell me that they will be hard against it. There’s almost nothing he can beat this consistently . If he also accelerates Rhine + Hades and Vixen which he has as reinforcement, it is a wall that 90% of players cannot pass. If it wasn’t for Nyx this team wouldn’t even be top 10. So stop and be consistent Nyx is broken and unhealthy

I went away for a few hours and over 100 posts were added. A lot of in-fighting, circular talking, extensive debates about the logic of the points being made and some rude talking that required moderator involvement.
None of this appears to be productive or on track for a positive conclusion so I’m going to give us all a breather for 24 hours by temporarily locking this thread.
If you feel passionately about the topics being discussed then collect your thoughts in this time and write your suggestion once the thread is re-opened. Let everyone voice their suggestions let’s make any further discussion about that, rather than more endless debates.

Thank you for all the feedback, guys. I have read through everything. Special thanks to all the mods for keeping this forum civilized. I reopened the thread because we also want to share our opinion.
Here are the reasons we think Nyx is fine:
- Nyx’s learning curve is very high.
Just like @NMEduck said, even some top PvP users fail to play Nyx in the “right” way, not to mention the majority of our players. We weren’t creating monsters for just 1% of the users. - Nyx requires a good collection to work.
It is not really fair to compare Nyx with Charybdia. You can pretty much place Charybdia at any spot in your team and she still performs well; this also applies to many top-tier monsters. The reason Charybdia got nerfed is that the power gap between users with her and without her was simply too big. This is never the case for Nyx because she is hard to play and hard to build with. - Data
In this PvP, Nyx is the 23rd most popular monsters among the top 100 PvP players. However, if you extend the range to the top 500 PvP players, she only ranked 61st. This aligns with what we expected. She is more popular among top PvP users. The other users at that level also have more good monsters and knowledge to fight her.
She will only be a problem when even top players fail to deal with her. Right now, we cannot say that is the case. I can give you guys another way to tune down Nyx’s power. What do you think if we “buff” Ldiefaeth’s speed to 50%? This is a double-edged sword because Ldiefaeth is also Nyx’s counter. We still haven’t thought this through yet, but any suggestion cutting in this angle will be helpful.

Yes, as this will force players to play more various Nyx combos, instead of just running a VERY STRONG “Nyx + Ldief”. Then some matches were decided by whose Ldief goes first.

Sir, please buff or add other monsters as the ones that operate the slow system monsters. It is best for the skill system to conflict with NYX (for example, monsters with speeds exceeding 50% on the field will render passive ineffective), NYX can almost cooperate at any slow speed, which is not conducive to team diversification

Fermata doesn’t affect non-damage/lethal moves.

I reached number 75 this pvp. Barely faced any nyx teams but when I did I lost so no, I got to 100 by being lucky and not face a mythic that wasn’t released in a festival so only those with a lot of disposable income got a top tier mythic.
So if Charypdia wasn’t as easily obtained compared to nyx, she would not have been nerfed? I get that she has multifunctionality with not requiring to play her on the FL but that does not make it any less fair.
I didn’t comeback to this game because I expected a fair treatment overall anyway. Festival mythics always, rightfully when they are strong, nerfed but regular released ones takes years to address. I enjoy this game and I will keep playing because, aside from not nerfing enough monsters who are obviously strong but not commonly obtained, you guys have awesome skill designs. I really like what nyx does but it’s really annoying she is the only one who does what she does. I’m gonna try to invest in awakening her but I hope you guys release more mythics that are not just support for fast or nyx FL but something that will make nyx users to think of thier choices too.
Good idea. Why is the best nyx counter is also a nyx supporter? There should be more risks to run nyx to than simply “oh I faced another nyx copy paste team so I lost”
