Thoughts on the new update 2/27/2024

I like the buff ideas of the older monsters. I also can understand the nerf of unevolved forms, they did that before with Astrogolem for example.

But the shop update is really nonsense, specifically the training point increase. I fully agree with @CQ4_SHEROX on this one. It’s a basic feature that shouldn’t be sold in that way. It should be better bounded to hero rank like in the beginning of the game or be an achievement.

The prices for the ingredients are totally absurd. 15 tickets for Alteramid? We get awakened myth for 80. That update only serves for those who have all shop myths and a bunch of tickets.

I hate this Iridescezarc change. 59tu move into 110tu move. No thanks. Still ■■■■.

Interesting Uranium change with the feature on the same day

Focal and Deus are not buffs at all too.

I guess it is time to evolve my grovodon.

To be honest, somebody who has 400 tickets in spare, won’t need a Grailing or an Omegamid anyway.

That is true as well.

Here, fixed it. No need to say thank you.

I can’t find my mons materials, does anyone know where they are? Personally I don’t like this because I usually check them from time to time to manage them, I know I can still see them in the evolution option but it’s not the same , the option to increase training points should be free, I understand that. why they encourage you to buy gems, but seriously 5 bills By the way, does anyone know what the cherries that appear in the Evolution Mons are?

First the cons:

-Training points universally affect players, it makes zero sense to require “premium” currency to level it up. The ones that need those points the most are relatively new players that have a lot of monsters to evolve.

-Ingredient prices should be at least half of what they are imo.

Devs: Please don’t lock core gameplay quality of life improvements behind 6 star tickets!! Focus on making cosmetic stuff etc. so that high spenders can spend their excess amounts of tickets to make their monsters look unique and stand out.

-Focalforce continues to have an identity crisis. What’s the new change supposed to do? Would be a great way to chain fast strike but it blocks it…

Neutral changes:

-Weird iride change, seems like a lateral movement, however it will 1 shot many monsters with 5 k attack.

-Tenebris “buff” that can also be a liability because you can lose control in a hairy situation when the 10% damage kills a monster too early.

Pros:

-PvP :running_man:-button can be used on opponent’s turn, ■■■■■■■ finally :raised_hands:

-Nice to see the second forms finally get properly nerfed.

-Charybdia nerf. The less I see that monster, the better.

-Uraniumedhus looks fantastic now. Definitely gonna put it on my awaken shortlist.

With the recent update focalforce uses his taunt but then one of his moves would be useless, why do they weaken him? I mean, I’ve only seen it in its most recent banner, this mythical is a ghost in PvP.

I don’t have charibdia and I’m not planning on getting it because I don’t like its design, but why nerf it now that it has so many counters? I’m at rank 62, before all these upgrades, as Scarleguard used to see her in 8/10 matchups, after the upgrade I did see her! but in the mid game or late game, I know she is one of the best mythics but I think this is unnecessary now, we had scarleguard, unicera, glacieron, cysolcoar and maybe many more to counter her. Still good, but this Nerf is unnecessary in my opinion.

This is the first time it’s directly nerfed. My thought about it personally was that it’s a very annoying monster to play against.

A few minutes ago I had this fight in PvP and I only won because I executed scarleguard in fl and that nullified his charibdia and jocodragon prevented him from removing titan from him, otherwise I had no chance of beating him because he surpasses me in cost, the objective of What I just said is that now I will find less charibdias in fl and then my scarleguard would be useless ah unless I find nova users or some other objective, but now I will definitely remove it

think about it this way: i don’t have unicera or glacio etc and scarleguard is a great sp now in fl because charibdia exists, otherwise it sucks, everything has a balance, less advanced players could have opportunities to beat more experienced ones thanks to the counter , scarleguard is now useless and mythic spam continues to prevail, I was very happy with how the sp could deal with ah myths, but now one of them is a :poop:

  • love the Deus X buff

  • Leira is a nice touch

  • Stormloch could slip under the radar but I think it’s very dangerous now. A sleep immune monster which can also sleep, will make for long OoO strategies. Fortunately it’s water like Vixen.

  • Throw next buff is wonderful :partying_face::partying_face:

  • Focal….

ok so heres the thing. i get that the devs want us to evolve all our 2nd evo monsters however if you are going to insist on that then why hasn’t the max team cost been changed to reflect that?

all this really does is hinder some players who can’t afford materials to evolve yet but wait its fine- they are getting sold for extortionate prices in the shop…

i feel like making ALL 2nd form monsters unplayable is streamlining strategy too much.

I totally agree…I don’t get ppl aren’t discussing this…

i think everyone agrees jerbo needs a nice hat!

for training point increase - there should be a reward currency for completing each of the training dojo missions and events like showdown at old corrolan etc. these should be exchanged for training point increase. that way it makes people play thses events, increases thier understanding and gives those increase points to the players who actually need them.

making it cost tickets is absurd. it shouldn’t be monetized nor is it beneficial enough to warrant such a cost. literally only people who will use this are those like squinty who have all the monsters and little sense.
