I disagree with Lemon’s opinion here. I don’t feel like having a high speed FL is any more important than it’s been for years. I also see many protectors being used and how they’re viable in PvP right now, there’s simply a nice balance of counters to them seeing play too. I haven’t paid enough attention to what’s popular in end-games but I see fewer Gazer/Moku/Penguinator end-games than existed in the past and personally find many other things are very successful.
You know this is Will not first and last time he Will act like this
Never argue with player with this attitude “I have all monster, so my opinion should be falid and other PPL not”
or have this attitude “I have this monster and Can’t use it properly Like other player instead I fix my skill and team building ,I am prefer make Nerf thread”
I am personaly always running very high speed stuff around azida and megalo
The third monster can be anything but i will always try and keep it at around of minimum 70 speed so arcticlaw or azu normaly
But the thing is that megalo even being as limited as it normaly is with its movepool does have a target in 90% of matches i do because people prioritize speed
So bottomline fast fls are here to stay and if you can make the fl free for weaknesses at high speeds well then you are pretty set
As it should be nothing should be safe behind protectors , its the right puinshement like everything in neo ,
Stun,—> stun killer , countershock
Sleep —> sleep killer , nightwatch
Poison ----> toxic killer , defang
Just before where true hit was meh and couldnt kill boosted poisedon sometimes or even shikabloom we saw how people abused that ap spam started to be abusive and toxic
I think the bigger problems are the FLs that don’t give you a chance to come back. Awakened mythics are the primary culprit here, I saw someone mention a Cynthia/Bastia/Sakura FL which is truly gruesome, but it also counts for things like the Sui/Jag combo. If those two are well protected it can be difficult to recover after losing 2 of your mons since they are both stun immune. There’s only a few ways to take them out of play or kill them before they get another turn. Orca gets eaten alive by spectrefox in the FL but can still be hard to stop once he gets going. Maeve’s speed of 60% is largely irrelevant - it’s incredibly difficult to kill her before she gets a turn in the FL (unless with true hit - thank you devs) so she might as well be 99% speed. I don’t think speedy FLs are the biggest problem facing the game right now, but Lemon is right that they cut down on FL diversity. In the ~250 games of PvP I played this season, probably 200-220 of them were running the same 5 FLs with little variation. I think PvP in general is in quite a good state atm but it seems to me that the essential character of some monsters is it change the game in a way that is not conducive to having a good time. Secret Seal is a stupid passive, Maeve should not be able to shield all on the first term, Sakura needs to be less tanky (or chrono killer needs to be buffed) and who thought Bastia was a good idea? The list goes on
