🤬 😈 The BM report thread

Exactly! No need for excuses or guessing if it might just be a clan tag.

Alright, I slept on it and got a better example. Let’s say someone is using the ign “JWS are evil”. Maybe that’s some clan name or abbreviation for that player’s most hated mons (Jackolene, Wraithhost, and Shikabloom). Let’s be real, those three monsters really can be quite a pain to deal with if they’re used properly. It also could just be an incredibly antisemetic username but who knows?

I don’t personally interact with many jewish people and I don’t witness much antisemitism where I live so don’t blame me for not realizing that JWS stands for jews. Let’s give this person the benefit of the doubt since there’s a chance it’s just an innocent clan name or acronym they made up. I’m not a fan of automatically assuming the worst just because the ign could maybe be seen as offensive.

I get your point. You were correct in calling out that username.

These are the names I’d like to report and why…

Sherlock - identity theft is not a joke Jim.

Killer dog - animal cruelty

Tanbeer- Racism and alcoholism rolled into one

Sherox - assumes pronouns

Ceser- misspelled identity theft of both a salad and emperor

Duck - clearly a dodgy autocorrect

Loki - identity theft. Isn’t low key.

Jhon Wick - see above

Exu - Reminding everyone of their ex

Cantera- Too negative. we’re living in the Can era, not the Cant.

Gary Oak - identity theft of a shlag.

Raghnius - I don’t know what it means so it’s added to be safe.

This is not a finalised list.

You’re correct to catch that. The quote is “The N-word is incredibly charged in the USA, but not elsewhere”. How I intended that was “but not to the same degree elsewhere”. I.e. it’s not “incredibly charged” but still obviously very bad.

Sorry for not being explicit in my expression.

Also, I completely agree that it’s very dangerous to try to bring in different perspectives on topics such as this. Either because things get misinterpreted or you slip into genuine racism unintentionally. I apologise if anything came across that way.

Given this, I’m gonna ask that since I’m dark skinned IRL, if it is acceptable for me use the ign NGGA Squinty? I want my other fellow dark skinned brothers to be able to know they have others like them in terms of their culture. playing Neo. The A is Different than the R at the end and is what dark skinned people casually say it to each other as a term of brotherhood. Only the N-word that ends in an R is charged in the US and is racist no matter who says it to a dark skinned person. the version with an A you can acceptably say to close people you know if and only if the person saying it has dark colored skin.

:open_mouth:

In case that wasn’t bait:

The “rules” concening this word are very confusing and nobody really knows where to draw the line. However, the word that ends in A is definitely incredibly charged when a non-Black person uses it. You can’t possibly verify every person’s ethnicity who put it in their nickname.

It is also thrown around a lot for instance in popular music where it’s a ‘cool’ word. Then what happens is that especially young people from different backgrounds who don’t understand the meaning of the word start using it and get themselves in big trouble. This happened to a young Formula 2 driver and he got cancelled as a result.

So for those reasons it can’t be acceptable.

funny u put my twice, can I get another feature if I change my name?

Depends if it’s an acceptable name or not.

Exu gave good reasonings already that I agree with.

My take: No, not at all acceptable. The two variations on the word are way too similar that the nuances of its intended meaning and context used are simply not enough to make one acceptable while the other isn’t when talking in the context of a game with a global audience.

P.S. Now we’ve all discussed this at great length, please everyone do report any players who have names with racial slurs or other rude things. This includes names with nasty comments to other players. This thread is a fine place to report them.

@Dev_VKC people always disconnect on purpose with last monster left and it’s really frustrating. Can’t dev team do something about that like if I play 12 battles atleast 6 dc on me at last I know some people has network issue but when people disconnect on purpose it’s different.
Putting one example picture of today

Tag kinyou if he is here

Nagao new way of doing it , disconnecting then reconnect, then let the time run out to waste you more time !

if nagao stopped using the same dated team over and over again, they wouldn’t need to dc.

Pretty sure it’s not coltraz who is playing.

Pretty sure it was @999WRLD trolling, I myself don’t waste even my own time

Two people in a row timing out at the end of the match cause they basically lost. Too bad this behavior seems to never really have a consequence. A few hour(s) ban from PvP is really all I would ask for if proof or enough people complaining was given.

This person refusing to end the game when they’ve already won by only charging/stalling time while my last monster was asleep.

Mortar and Charge Monsters should have a hard cap on how many times they can use their loading skill. I know it’ll affect PVE negatively but it’s frustrating to come across a player who will actively BM you with these skills after sleeping/stunning you out of the game.
