I need some help building PVP team. I dont have many good monsters, so
you actually have a lot of good ones
you have a lot of fun things you can try out in the FL. I personally really like the pyramid golems, and the two you have are strong if you evolve them (the holy and thunder element ones).
So something you could try is spectrefox (s) + sivanna + pg vivimid and bananamid. Its a bit of a slow FL but if the pg’s stay alive their damage isn’t bad, and if one of them gets knocked out then sivanna can backbite to both heal her and keep charging bloodthirst.
If you have a poison revenge mon you can do ziberius + that + 2 poison mon + spectrefox in 5th.
as endgame novematrona + deodragon should combo pretty well, as after deodragon has used its blast its pushed super far out of play and novematrona can bring him back. You also in general have pretty decent link fire/link fire poison which you can have in the endgame.
A midgame flutterdrake army can work well sometimes. I go back and forth on how much I like it, but the the blue + purple + yellow flutter make a good team, and if you can get bloodfury charged on the yellow one you can keep giving turn to it with purple or keep cloning to protect it depending on the situation while blue protects from stun.
you also have some link water sleep potential. I don’t know how viable this would be since I don’t have the monsters but shiny fox + megalodragon + ziberius + hydroloch + water phoenix + wraithcaptain is an idea.
I like the catapult/throw subtheme you have early-midgame + solariel with give turn but if solariel triggers stun counter/gets taken out early then you are stuck with a lot of mons with both slow entrances and high tu moves. I would consider waiting for more throw support mons to incorporate if your midgame feels inconsistent (if it works great for you ofc keep it).
One thing I noticed is that if spectrefox gets taken out and doesnt revive/gets knocked back or is next in reinforcements you are very open to stun. Throwing in a stun counter/immune here and there wouldn’t hurt. Also deviladus is very slow and doesn’t help you take back a match if it gets KO’d before it gets a turn or it doesn’t have targets for lightbane. Something like shurikaizer would probably be better as a 5th spot as its an immediate threat with instant slayerbane + sneak attack/poison eater and better entrance speed.
I also personally really like jocodragon in certain teams for fast knockback and stun martyr is great, though you need to be a lot more careful against stun than with shiny fox as in some games stun martyr gets triggered very early. It’s just something to try out if you want.
One last thing I’ve been seeing a brutalaxe FL occasionally and its very threatening if it gets a turn. I’ve mostly seen it with the leogeist inspire stuff that’s taken over pvp but it could work without it comboed with a retribution FL. Where its a lose lose for your opponent to get rid of kuromasa or they leave it alone. It will be dead weight after dual catapult so either a give turn (but weak to chrono killer) or with sivanna to backbite after brutalaxe has attacked. So maybe something like fox + ziberius + sivanna + brutalaxe or some variation might be fun. The problem i think is ziberius doesn’t have a low tu move to waste time until dual retribution so just for fun (prolly unviable) viridizardon + zib + sivanna + brutalaxe + fox in 5th would be fun and if your opponent has an absorber its out of play and accelerate with virizidaron makes zib a more immediate threat as it gets a turn faster. The idea is cannibalize virizidaron most of the time. This fl would be a bit weak to shiny fox unfortunately. You could try running a protector to charge dual retribution also.
Nice! Will play with that too. Thank you!
Yes that jocodragon is great and it counters motordragon as well which I find as the most annoying monsters
ya just saw sry
if he want to make a pola regal team (My specialty btw), he needs a counter to aps and a good stun protection who wont be a dead weight.
what I see he can run is pola, regal, ahuizard (The raw monster), willo (Good stun protection).
Chrome 5th for any poison or chrono monsters but primary for the ss to help pola. geo magnus 6th to remove any dead weight such as chrome if he cant find any targets. dusi 7th and cani 8th for a lil ap control. Thats all I know he can use now.
@BORDZ26 try to use this team
Thanks so much for the help bro! This will help a lot! Will try it out.
I hate to tell you this but you are not even a quarter of the way through the main story, and it only gets harder
I moved your post here, feel free to edit your question in it. Please do not open new threads for every bump on your Neo Monsters road. People have struggled on the same battles in the past and threads such as this already exist for asking help.
My advice for the fire boss Torus is to use as many water monsters you can to gain element advantage. A few other problems I see in your team:
-I would put Glaciaron further up in your team so he can do more damage and get rid of Viridi, he’s almost useless in that particular battle.
-You have Vulcaroth (fire monster with double poison eater) with no other poison monsters around to support it.
-Your front has two monsters with entrance passives (Glitter and Leobolt) which are wasted because those passives won’t trigger in the frontline.
-You have a stun burst monster: Raijin, which you can use to get an advantage, yet there are no Monsters around him with survivor or time strike to gain any advantage of the stun!
-Teddy on the last spot is useless with no sleep to support him. Why is he there?
If you haven’t played the training dojo missions yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. Those will help you figure out some of the basic mechanics in the game.
I’d advise not to focus on the offline story too much for now. You can get a lot of good stuff you need to progress online in events and what @ArcticTheHunter said is very much true, it’ll take you a while to finish the offline story.
The real progress happens via acquiring and evolving new monsters in this game (also learning how to use them), so try to get into ultra-evolving the ones you have to get the most out of them. As far as I can see, all three of you legengadries (6*) monsters are clearly worth ultra evolving (maybe someone more experienced can confirm/deny).
As for the super epics (5*) you have, try to ultra evolve ventowyrm and the starters, as they are useful for a long time and worth the investment (maybe not redkong). In general, check the Tier list in the guides section of this forum to avoid wasting precious materials on monsters that are bad/only have niche use.
Depending on how far you wanna jump into it already, the other guides provided me with excellent data and tips.
Sorry for probably steering somewhat offtopic here for teambuilding, I startet before you moved the thread @Exu and didn’t wanna just scrap what I already had please feel free to edit/delete if not appropriate here
It’s very much on topic and great advice as well!
There I put the blue electric bird in front of Ted bc he has sleep all which should help I put freezehorn further up in the line I put raijin next to voltiger for a stun bomb into a time strike I put glitter and leo further down the line to keep on supporting voltiger are there any other tips? Oh and Ive completed the dojo
Which legendaries should I ultra evolve?
The grand Champion isnt the last one
Yep. Not even close. Up until the grand champion is more or less the tutorial.
Unfortunately I own neither of those 3, so don’t follow me blindly here: That holy dragon is a protector, he won’t be sweeping for you much, so that’s maybe not the best first choice. Great to support your sweepers then, though.
Glaciaron (the water pony) can dish out some damage and also has a bit of control, which is usually a key part to winning.
Vulcaroth (just able to name him thanks to Exu, just to make that clear ) should be the most capable sweeper of your legendaries I think, but due to a lack of strong poison monsters I have not really tried that strategy myself. It should be able to perform very well for you along with monsters to poison the enemies (there’s a few low star ones to do that before you get more stronger ones) and maybe even give turn to it after double poison eater, as the high TU leaves it vulnerable otherwise.
Looking a lot better already!
You should evolve glaciaron first it will get raw bloodthrist and trust me you will need it
Then evovle nectareon, arky and vulcaroth combo these three and you will br good keep the legedary protector as low priority and if able to evovle any other legendary then him do it he only has support move and his desperate bite won’t do you much good in the story mode
