Team building help

Hey thanks to who ever can help. But I spun last festival egg and didn’t get any legendaries but was able to pick up a few tanks. Just wondering what I could build out of what I have. Open to any suggestions. Thanks! Also all the 7s will be evolved after this event

Your mons aren’t that bad at all even though they’re not legendaries, you have quite a few options for your team. Try leading with pega, hydrastorm, a healer, and octo. You can also run an unwanted friend frontline with pega, carnofrost, mecharex, and geohound (you can use octo or blastshell or even a healer instead of geohound as well). You can use your stun revenge +create duplicate users (like spidex) towards the end of your team along with wolfrozen for maximum usage of stun revenges, make sure to also include a timestriker back there as well to make use of all those stun revenges.

Not sure what you mean by the “quests” after atrahasis, if you want help with a specific battle I need to know a bit more about the opponent team.

Invasion of othrAn episode one

The first one or two use poison teams so you’re going to want to have some monsters with purify evenly distributed in your team. As of now you have two tanks towards the end of your lineup. I would move one up almost to the front. And if you have a healer I would suggest adding that to your team.

Hello I would appreciate if someone could recommend how I should structure my team to beat the second of the elite 4 trainers. Here are the monsters I have to work with, thank you.

EDIT: I was able to defeat her but I would still like advice on how I should structure my team.

Just want to thank those who are helping others here, this is a great thread! We’ve also looked at it to take hints on the opponents we make for the Challenge from the Devs series

You have a few options for your frontline: you could either opt for a stun frontline with oni, snowja, seasteed, and spinoa (ultra evolve spinoa so he also gets timestrike). The idea would be to use stun bomb and stun flash to get timestrikes off with snowja and spinoa and then proceed to sweep with bloodcraves while spinoa uses twinkiller + timestrikes to remove other mons. You can also go for an assisted thunder frontline (would be more ideal if you had godfeather but this could work too) with zephy, velocirex, oni, and that electric type timestriker with poison revenge (forgot the name). Make sure to ultra evolve zephy so it gets stun immunity. You can also go for a frontline with necrodrake, oni (or zephy), spinoa, and omega. I’d also highly suggest catching more healers from the wild since you seem to not have that many atm. For the first team you would prolly want to place a stunner as your fifth (such as leo for stunning entrance). For the second team you could prolly bring in griffclaw for a heal and then go into that electric type with stun bomb. For the third team I’d suggest having a healer as your fifth mon.

You could start by replacing nilo with either a healer or a mon with purify such as necrodrake. This is because the first guy had a poison team and you need the purify if you want to have a chance at winning. I’d also suggest using a tank earlier as JRA said earlier for both purify and being able to tank for your team.

Thank you very much for your assistance I will try that out now!

Edit: with your advice I was able to defeat the entire grand four, I am about to fight Beritus and was hoping you could help me set my lineup for him. I have ultra evolved my necrodrake but haven’t been able to do that to anyone else. Also are there any monsters in the wild that have healing abilities that you recommend me to go after? I caught dunkleon, blurbeak, and seapup today as well. Thank you for helping me with this.

In addition: I have accumulated enough gems to hatch 3 eggs, do you think I should wait until a special event to hatch them or is it worth it to attempt to receive a legendary in the normal roll?

I would wait for the festival
As mentioned by lochi, festival eggs are your best chance currently for getting legendaries. Also for beritus, you definitely need to ultra evolve snowja and spinoa. With your current lineup, your best bet would probably be to lead with oni, spinoa, snowja (both snowja and spinoa should get ultra evolved), and either zephy or seasteed. If you manage to somehow break down his frontline you’ll be in good shape. The way you will do this is you wait until spinoa and snowja are right after oni (or as close as possible, so for example if it’s oni’s turn right now spinoa and snowja should be a few secs after him). Then you stun flash and timestrike/twin kill the frontline. The reason you want snowja and spinoa (snowja in particular since you would prolly twin kill on spinoa anyways) to be right after oni is so you get maximum damage out of timestrike. Make sure to attack the enemies who have stealth on them before stun flashing otherwise the stun won’t affect them. Afterwards, you need to immediately team turn on zephy (so if you chose zephy make sure zephy is also going right after the others so you can still get the high timestrike damages) or stun bomb on seasteed (once again, seasteed needs to be right after snowja and spinoa so you get maximum stuns) and follow up with another round of timestrikes and twin kills.

I’ll also talk about your 2 options here since the beritus fight is pretty hard and you’ll need some in-depth info if you wanna beat it. First off, know that the seasteed option will entail you losing a mon right off the bat (stun bomb sacrifices seasteed), but you get to bring in for example a tank for free in exchange. This can prove to be invaluable for your fight since your snowja will be your most valuable mon in the fight and you need to protect it and keep it alive if you wanna win. The zephy option on the other hand gives you another round of burst for free and if zephy manages to grab a kill in the midst of all that, you’ll have another sweeper in your team. This goes without saying that you won’t have any tanks or healers in the field until one of your mons die though which might be risky for you since the enemy might just aoe all your mons down. Also don’t forget about oni, he will be able to also start sweeping at about 100 secs after his stun flash cooldown is up with survivor (although if you use team turn it’s a different story). Snowja is still your most valuable asset regardless since beritus has buffed mons and snowja’s bloodcrave damage goes up the more killing blows he gets while oni’s survivor damage remains the same. This means that snowja could potentially one-shot some mons that oni won’t be able to.

Here’s a few other pointers to keep an eye out for:

 • Your frontline has no way of dealing with arbor’s sleep all. If you get unlucky and he hits a mon (or more) with it restart the fight.

 • If you ultra evolve snowja and you go with the seasteed option, bring in a healer as your fifth. Use heal all immediately and bring in a tank as your sixth (preferably a tank with hold ground). Use one-on-one afterwards (your tank needs to use protect teammates first though, this is very important). Use bloodcrave and let the opponent hit your tank. Use purify. Sweep 4v1 one mon at a time while 3 enemy mons are asleep.

 • Bring in tanks and healers to maintain coverage on snowja but don’t overdo it (do not have more than 1 tank and 1 healer in the field at any given time).

 • If you chose the seasteed option, bring zephy at a time where you know the enemy will have a mon in the field which has hold ground. Bring that mon to hold ground range and then bloodcrave with zephy for the free kill (I’m saying bloodcrave instead of gigabolt because it has less sec and it will still kill the enemy since it has 1 hp anyways).

 • Utilize seahowl if possible to give turn to a sweeper for even more damage.

 • Try your best to get snowja as many kills as possible early on with the stun flash combo so you can start sweeping asap.

 • Keep snowja alive at all costs if he gets kills early on.

 • Abuse blightwyrm’s desperate double as much as possible! Have seahowl or zephy close by (along with a healer ideally) so you could desperate double x2 when you’re low and then heal up and do it again when you get low.

 • Try to ultra evolve at least your sweepers (snowja, oni, and even zephy). Ultra evolve spinoa as well even though he is technically not a sweeper, he will still be very useful for your team especially since there will be so many opportunities for him to use twin killer.

 • Twin killer mons are mons which have access to both “killer” moves: protector killer and sleep killer.

I wish I had someone to help me out when I got to the beritus fight myself, it was definitely one of the harder fights in the whole game especially since I had 0 legendaries back then. That’s one of the reasons why I decided to help others out with their teams afterwards. It took a long time for me to figure out how to beat that guy and I eventually did it, I definitely think you could beat him too.

Good luck with your battle!
Hi guys, I’ve been having a lot of problems on beating the last part of chapter 5 of the Online!

Thank you guys!!

Screenshots are preferred as they give me a better visual of what your team is like, there are plenty of posts and topics in the forums about how to upload pictures to the forum. I also won’t be building your entire team for you, nobody does that here (so the cost thing is kinda irrelevant, but thanks for putting the effort for posting it). Anyways, I suggest building around pega, pando, and necrowing as they are your most viable sweepers. Try leading with these 3 mons plus a healer (not thundrake) or a stun bomber (like that electric type mon with 3 stars that has stun bomb or seasteed). Place the mon that you didn’t choose as your fifth (so the healer if u chose to lead with stun bomb and a stun bomber if you chose the healer) and preferably a tank as your sixth. The basic idea behind this team is to stall out for pega to get survivor ready in addition to the bomb from pando while at the same time keeping necro safe to safely get enough kills to start using bloodthirst.
Once again, screenshots are preferred as can be seen in the past 20 pages. Here is a topic I made a while back showing how to beat the entirety of chapter 5 without using any friend summons or legendary mons, hopefully it could be of use to you. Also keep in mind that in the worst case scenario you can just use a last biter with your friend summon and pretty much beat any boss in any chapter with it (there are currently 2 last biter mons in the game: dragaia which is the ultra evolved form of gigarock and the godfeather which is the ultra evolution of don penguini, keep in mind that gigarock and don also have last bite so you can also sweep with those 2 as well). If you do not have a friend who has a last biter, you can add me as I am sharing godfeather. My friend code is 41812450.

Here’s some other useful links in case you need more help in the future:

Chapter 6 topic (similar to chapter 5 but for chapter 6)

How to solo entire teams using a last biter

Another example on how to solo teams with a last biter (it’s one of the vids from chapter 5, the last biter sweep begins at 13:00)
I apologize for asking you to build my team then…by the way thanks for the prompt help! I built my team in this way…is do you see any significative enhancement to be done?

Moreover, i’m blocked in the story at the fight against Ataharis…could you please suggest me a good strategy against him?

Thanks a lot for your help and time

Hi, sorry for just writing but I didn’t knew how to upload the pictures, but I just managed to post them!!

So this is my current team and my relevant monsters.

I still haven’t beaten the last part of the chapter 5, not even with last biter D:, so any help will be really apreciatted.

Thank you very much!

There’s a topic for atrahasis where a lot of tips and strategies were discussed on how to beat him, the most effective way would involve a mon which has the unwanted friend move which you unfortunately don’t have atm. There are plenty of other tactics shared in that topic though which could definitely help you out. For my own 2 cents though, you should never try to use just one team for all matches. You should always have a couple different teams for different matchup and even change your teams every once in a while to match your needs at the time. For me persoanlly, you normally wouldn’t see me use the same team for more than a week or 2 at a time. For this particular boss fight though you definitely do not need seasteed since he is immune to stun which renders seasteed completely useless in this specific battle. You also should place mons with moves such as last stand (redkong) at the end of your team so you could potentially be able to sweep (or in your case finish off) the battle late game. Blurbeak and demihorus along with rose are not that useful to your team since it really isn’t worth it to invest so many support mons just for a weak dream hunter such as rose, it really doesn’t pay off. I’m also extremely surprised you aren’t taking full advantage of an awesome mon such as thundrake, he is one of the best healer mons in the game. I’d suggest trying to replace those sleep supporter mons along with rose with timestrikers and stunners (so vegitiger for instance). Also make sure to place mons such as vegitiger who have poison revenge close to poison eaters so you don’t have to poison touch anymore and take full advantage of the poison revenge passive. Place archwolf at a point in your team where your main sweepers are ready to sweep so you could help them even more by using give turn so they can use their sweeping moves twice instead of once at a time. For atrahasis in particular it would be a good idea to replace seasteed with a healer (not thundrake though since you would be wasting his stunning entrance passive if you lead with him) so you can prolong the life of your sweepers. Make sure to bring in more healers so the sweepers do not die. As long as you keep them up there shouldn’t really be a reason to lose to atrahasis.

The first time I beat the final boss of chapter 5 was thanks to a last biter where I basically was around 6 or 8 mons behind and I friend summoned the last biter and won the battle. It’s definitely doable but you need to use last bite on the right mons at the right time, you can’t just mindlessly spam it on random mons and win. I would really suggest watching those vids and paying attention to what I’m doing and understanding why I do those things. If you still have troubles I’ll record a match vs. that boss where I solo the whole battle using a last biter but I really think the vids I linked are sufficient to show how to properly use a last biter to sweep.

Hey guys,

I’ve just started with this game but i don’t manage to come through fast, it takes so long  Any ideas or tips for me? I have a super epic and some epics, 4 ultra evolved, but when I see all those teams of you guys, how do you get such teams in that time?

This topic is mostly for teambuilding, so you could probably make a separate topic for that question. But basically you get gems and go for gold egg rolls to get more mons. You can get gems by doing online missions and events and such.

And before you go crazy, wait until a festival egg is out to give yourself the best chance of getting legendaries etc.

This is what i have, id like to build a good team for PVP but it seems im not a good strategist on this game, so i came here for help  may ultra evolve any monster needed(no omegamid for tiamad tho)
