Support Monsters with full attack stat

So I was i just noticed that midas a support monster actually has full attack stats which doesn’t make any sense. I know it has TT which is pretty powerful but all the other TT’s have tanky stats. Why does this guy have full attack stats?

I know having death revenge means it offers a little more but still mecha and lava are still better TT’s

(This is not a buff midas thread although I would’nt mind if it becomes one)

This is something that Midas shares with Serazael (The Super Epic with Give Turn, Pull Back and Switch Places.) I remember getting told that the reason it has Full Attack stats was a way of balancing it due to the amount of support it offered when it first debuted. But given how Midas has Bloodthirst, perhaps they gave it more offensive stats so that it could work as a sweeper.

Yeah, I think both Midas and Serazael should be changed to balanced.

This is one of the original legendaries and didn’t have TT back then (SS didn’t exist). It was a mixture of damage/support/disruption. The idea is you add Boxjaws into the enemy team then have give turn to support your team while death revenge puts the enemy off killing it. When the Boxjaw come in you can hit them to get kills and charge bloodthirst. It’s similar to how Motordragon was originally designed where it would add two Bronzeshell next in line that it would kill with gigaspark to charge bloodthirst.

Of course this is not how it is used. People never go for charging bloodthirst. Originally it was always used to get a faster TT in the front line because its 51% speed GT could pass to the TT.

There are a bunch of monsters from long ago where the stats don’t fit what we’d expect today. Some sweepers were given “full attack” just because they have sweeping in their moveset. Then sleep monsters like Shadowhunter, Stormloch, etc. were given full attack stats just so they’re easier to kill… probably because the devs knew how OP sleep was and these monsters had naturally higher health too with their low speed.

Serazael was an incredible monster back in the day. GT was top strats and with stun immunity that made it a lot better then it also had other useful options. I have no doubt its minimum defence was given to balance it.

This was back when support monsters were given full attack stats to balance them. Nowadays support monsters are given defensive stats, and their moves that deal damage one shot most monsters anyways.
