You keep saying that it’s only the special rule that’s causing these strategies to become dominant, but I don’t see it. There’s saberzor, lordsreign, fd salvia, titanomoth, gearcroc, sanctistag, megiasloth, mistletorment, rockoid + varieties, etc. Plenty of material to work with, not to mention you’re not exactly banned from using epic APs if they’re not part of the ruleset. So there’s absolutely potential for AP spam to work beyond this special rule.
Also the fact that you’ve been using it for a long time doesn’t tell me that the strat’s okay. It tells me that you were simply way, way ahead of the meta in figuring out that this works. We’ve seen before that it sometimes takes some time before the meta really catches on to some monsters’ potential. No one really knew how abusable it could be while you were using it.
Saitama is a great player but he didn’t use it way ahead of anybody else. I think you misunderstood that luc. First one to use was actually Gary. I think it became really common when Mr. X used it in one of his runs for Rank No. 1
No. I’m saying the special rule made AP spam particularly effective. It’s extreme with this current rule. I know others have used a wall of protectors for a long time. First time I encountered it was playing against RNA kei when he used his BB spam strategy. That was last year.
Personally I used 3 auto protectors for a long time because my sweepers were simply to slow to make an impact against all the fast FL’s top players had. Those 3 Auto protectors would still get wiped out fast often. Times when I tested 4 during random matches It would backfire too often. I would be left with no sweepers and all protectors. It’s a high risk strategy. Putting all your eggs in one basket is a gamble. That’s why I think it’s balanced. Same as the good old BB spam. You manage to kill BB and the opponent was left with a useless team. Robin literally shut it down most of the time.
In summary:
1)Devs have stated they will do something about it. Most likely remove the RNG.
2) This current special rule supports AP spam like never before so judgements based on this current PvP are a bit irrational.
3) Devs have released Croc and Lord’s reign during the current event because they know they will soon nerf AP to hell lol
I have never played BB spam. Bb spam is played with more than one TT like midas. You have protectors like aegis and stun absorber baby pikachu like RNA Kei did for a long time. I have played for a long time BB angelion nulltron and midas. This is for sure not called BB spam. No grovo follow up. It wouldn’t work with light linking. I dont know from where your assumptions are coming calling me a hypocrite while you know nothing about what I am playing

It’s not about being original. You accused me of using bb spam. I told you that I didn’t run it because I am not even owning all the powerful GT for realizing that. As a 1 year neomonster player plus not buying that many gems I dont have that many pots to change my FL for every meta to keep up with the speed. As long as my FL is doing decent i was still using it. I have been in the top 25 for last 6 pvp not because of my FL. How about you? Have you ever been creative except DR strategies? Playing shiva and auro with full protector team isnt called ap spam that we see today. If what you invented was so good players would replicate your strategy and no one is doing that.
And if you claim you invented dr with auro no one is playing that either in pvp its just a pve strategy that is well known for ages.
I dont know why @ItsSherlock credited you for creating the meta were you clearly had nothing to do with it and it become meta once i started running it at rank 1.
Ap spam was the first startgey i did after hatching dusc and i used many varients of the team.
I just kept upgrading the strategy as i get better monsters over time.
It was more adopting to balance changes and reacting to new monsters.
At first stun was very powerful devs nerfed it by introducing a gazillion stun immunities and converters and counters.
Then i had to adopt to it and remove stun and just keep the most powerful stunners malwing and cent.
Many players were running TT counters at fl like regalion and angelion or hard removel such as time out or chrono killers and i had to adapt and move tt behind protectors and make sure he enter safely.
So the team kept changing due to changes in the game and introduction of new monsters and me hatching new monsters it had nothing to do with Gary and once it became popular strategy gray gets credit for inventing it thats bs.
