I just had an UC game where AI used toxic conversion on a monster with poison revenge.
This is a nice improvement to see from the CPU, the only trouble is that this is an RNG thing.
That means that this is not a usual behavior so who has this against will have an harder start compared to who doesn’t.
My suggestion is:
If this has to become a thing, make it a thing.
Makes no sense to see double standards on AI decision making.
Improvements is good only if hits everyone equally.
I played many Maggat FLs, this is the first one that actually used a proper toxic conversion strat, rest of them just converting rocks or using toxic chrono killer on Skeleviathan.
The AI in neo seems to use some sort of “point based” decision making which is why it’s very predictable. It just depends what option has the highest “point” level and this can be manipulated like using life flip at 100% HP so your monster is at 1HP or AoE (put your monster to high TU). These two in particular seems to have high priority (high “point” level) for something to target them, but not always the highest. There are obviously multiple factors that can change this like a monster that has survived 300> seconds and how many kills they got etc. I guess the devs just add more and more options over time and give some popular strats high priority, like this toxic conversion for example.
That happened every time I faced the strategy you mention (this UC).
It’s harder now, but it’s really good that they make improvements like this to AI. It makes these events more interesting and also gives more meaning to the “Test your team” section. It’s pointless to test your whole team against an AI that plays stupidly. Most of the times you can only test your front line properly
the test your team area is outdated. it still puts teams with second evolution crimseias and horrorclaw.
also it uses monsters like lionheart etc. also the buffs are like a 3rd of what its like for most of the harder battles.
I am happy to hear that this occurred often during your battles, probably as @Unown said in my case scenario did not happen so much because of Maggat having the option to cannibalize a rock and probably that’s high priority.
I like to play improved AI versions, I hope to see more in future.
