Shouldn't cheating be punished severely? Please give us a fair game, thank you!

Pff! They got off very lightly, simply having the gems they cheated for getting taken away and nothing else (except PvP ranking rewards for one season)! They even got to keep gems they got from the fortune shrines that they may have not normally got (if they weren’t at 500 gems before the cheating).

But despite that, Laxus still has the cheek to say “can this be delayed until after the anniversary?”. No way man! Take what is probably the smallest punishment possible and pay your debts. If people are paying off debts when it’s the anniversary that means they’ve spent a bunch of the gems they cheated for, rather than saving them for the anniversary so it’s their own fault for thinking they could get away with it and the gems were theirs to spend wherever.

If I’d been involved in this decision at all I would’ve pushed for all the fortune shrine gems being removed from these accounts too (the ones gained since the person cheated).

We have to get some form of compensation for this snake(ry). 40 gems and 5 rare will be enough.

Also sorry for calling ya Einstine and a liar bro my bad it seemed ridiculous that laxus would cheat like this but I guess I was wrong lol.

Not to push the pw2 narrative but damn einstine was actually somewhat right :ok_man:t5:!!

Since ■■■■■■■ when modifying your game isn’t punished with perma ban lol

If so, let me go and make all the bond quests with god mode because somehow you only get a slap on the wrist by doing so.

Makes me wonder how many more of these have been swept under the rug.

I know right. Normally when people cheat it’s normal to take away everything they cheated for AND MORE. It gets legally complicated when it’s to do with gems and what people paid for but first and foremost the people knowingly broke the ToS so that should trump everything else so ZigZaGame should be able to do basically anything they want to the accounts.

I think it’s fair enough to not touch paid gems or to stop them doing the one-time 10 paid gems option while they’re in negative numbers of free gems. However, overall this is such a light wrist slap. Fair enough it’s not big enough for a ban, but give them a proper punishment for trying to cheat so they’ll never consider doing it again!

I think they deserve a permanent ban for this. They shouldn’t get preferential treatment just because they spent money on the game.

In any normal game, modifying the client equals with perma ban. It’s just that simple.

100%. So if they only get taken those back does that mean that all buyers can cheat until caught? I am asking for a friend :smirk:

For me they all are nothing different from those accounts 30hero rank with awoken mythics :clown_face::clown_face:

This sets a terrible precedent when dealing with cheaters. Hypothetically, I could cheat to get a bunch of gems, awaken asmodia for pvp, and then get a slap on the wrist. I won’t get banned and now I have an awakened mythic that would just about guarantee me a spot in at least the top 5 every season.

@Killerdog I think this is what you meant to say. What do you think happens to all the low hero rank accounts with those half speed awakened mythics?

Also maybe devs should give us the amount you have to spend to be protected from bans and get basically a pass when caught red handed. Do I qualify? Let me know! @dev_vkc

Buy a few gems for backup

No it’s not quite black and white like that. It’s like with the forum here… people don’t get permanently banned as soon as they do something bad. There’s a scaling to indiscretions for all of this and the punishments should scale too.

Here what they got was a bunch of extra gems temporarily. It may have also given them access to extra gems from the fortune shrines.

The punishments were:

  • Take away all the gems initially gained from the cheating (putting them into negative figures if necessary)
  • Unable to gets these gems from achievements again
  • Reset friend points to 0
  • No rewards from one season of ranked PvP
  • (passively) Making them potentially miss out on anniversary deals

This was the kind of cheat a lot of people would do that are otherwise going to be fine players in the community. It’s greedy people, not ones who don’t care one bit about the game and want to break it (e.g. catching enemy monsters). So it’s more appropriate to punish, rather than ban.

People would have spent a different number of gems since the cheating and may or may not have potted the monsters they hatched. So it would result in some inconsistent punishing if monsters were taken away or you did something like set their gems to 0. I think the way they removed the gems was a smart one and the people who stupidly spent their gems on random eggs will be punished hardest.

Only thing that concerns me is the shrine gems. This is literally the perfect way people could’ve been punished without having extra complications or inconsistency. If they removed all the gems each person has gained from the fortune shrine since the point they cheated that will likely be a decent amount of gems taken as a proper punishment. Also, they could have added on top that all these cheaters are banned from the next season of PvP. I think overall that would be plenty to show these things are taken seriously and the cheaters will feel like it was a big mistake.

I have to say you are a very friendly player, and maybe give them a chance. But was the punishment too lenient? Getting achievement gems early unreasonably speeds up the game, creating a gap between normal players and a poor competitive experience for normal players. And without the gems they won’t be able to frequently attend the 500 gems shrine, let alone the 1200 gems shrine, they get more than they seem. Shouldn’t this part of the gem be returned? Go to bank loan all need interest, cheat also need to pay certain price. I don’t know what you think?

@Killerdog I can’t believe you are the one protecting the cheaters. THEY DID CHEAT TO GET A BOOST. And then they negotiated with devs about their punishment (or to delay it because of anniversary :clown_face::clown_face:). It’s just that. There is no excuse for cheating and their accounts should be banned from online section. Let them have their shiny mythics to walk around islands in story :joy:.

That’s pretty much what I’ve been saying… I agree the fortune shrine gems should be taken.

I know it’s shocking I’m not always a fascist mod that wants the strictest punishments to be enforced every time

How about their accounts get banned from online content for a month? Other games that I’ve played on ban accounts for a month for one infraction, a year for the second infraction, and permanently for the third and final infraction.

Personally I prefer when the punishment hurts their game account but allows them to keep playing, so that it doesn’t really push them away so much. I did suggest blocking PvP for one month but tbh I’m not too sure about that. We don’t need their fun to be ruined.

I’ve seen it before in games where they do that kind of banning but don’t actually deal with the benefits gained from the cheating. As a fellow player I’ve found that even more frustrating because I don’t care much whether they have to take a break, I care more about the things being taken away.

Man I’m not really blamin you or something.
But everyone is asking for proofs and u were avoiding them.
U just kept saying they cheated but u had nothing to show.
Also the devs were silent. And still silent.
