Poll: DLGZ Cheating Punishment Adequacy

Per Dev VKC, this is the punishment the DLGZ members who cheated received.

  • Take away all the gems initially gained from the cheating (putting them into negative figures if necessary)

  • Unable to gets these gems from achievements again

  • Reset friend points to 0

  • No rewards from one season of ranked PvP

  • (passively) Making them potentially miss out on anniversary deals

  • The gems those players received from Fortune Shrine will be removed.

  • Those players will not be able to participate ranked pvp until they have paid all the gems back. They can still play unranked pvp.

I ask you all this now, was this punishment they received fair for the actions they knowIngly took to “gain gems” from an outside hacker?

  • The punishment they received is adequate
  • They should be punished further (i.e. giving mons they cheated to obtain back and/or permanent bans.
  • They were punished too hard for their actions.

Also, here is a link to the thread that is buried in the general (off topic) section of the forum where all this is being discussed in case you haven’t looked there. My hopes are that we get a consensus among that community on this issue so the devs create a consistent response to this behavior in the future.

If it was somehow possible to roll back the accounts until before the cheating happened, that would be a good enough punishment. But as it’s probably very hard to determine, the simple solution is to ban the accounts. No other punishment is adequate enough.

At the very least, their pvp placements in the past should be removed and/or their accounts should be blocked from online content. They used blatant cheats to awaken many mythics which they would be using against other players once they pay back all the gems. What happens in future seasons when I face a DLGZ player with a bunch of awakened mythics they cheated to awaken?

You haven’t quite detailed the full punishment properly. You’ve left out all the earlier stuff.

Kinda makes me feel like you want everyone to simply say “cheat = ban” without properly considering the bigger picture.

@squinty1880 You go ahead and add them to your own post

That’s still nothing when you look at how much they benefitted from their cheats and how it hurt legitimate players. This doesn’t change my opinion in the slightest.

@Dev_VKC you should give me an awakened FD Maeve and take theirs away. They would HATE this
