Goliatherion is amazing. Aurodragon and Tenebris are absolute cheat codes in IC.

This time I also got Dolphariel and it’s amazing. Especially with sleep as Last Mercy doesn’t wake up targets. And it’s also a tank with shield entrance and full Def stats.

Yeah Island Challenge is a great place for monsters like those! It’s also brilliant for wild stuff like when you can get multiple copies of the same monsters. I think my favourite was when I got 2x Sobeking and Aurodragon. I put them all at the back of my team and created a Sobeking army that I could chain so easily. This was back before things got stun immunity when stunned and when tranquilising was 80s stun of course.

During the current PvP special rule, I’m playing this classic:

so my small son playing and everytime he gets a move with Twighoul, he’ll always use the move which he calls ‘instant berserker killer’. So of course he hit our own monster, unfortunately with death revenge so two of our monsters died. We lost the match very closely.

He claims he cannot resist using the instant berserker killer move, even if ‘triple blood crave’ (?!?) would be charged, he still couldn’t resist.

Second time 100 win streak. That’s pretty fun but rewards are a little low :four_leaf_clover:

I still can’t comprehend the 1 legend pot for the final reward… Come on, needs to be at least 2

Wanted to ask how did you guys find Time Attack?

I’ve usually got along with 3 strategies: Purpie, Poison or Nova AoE. However, all of these strategies are less effective now because of changes that have happened. Purpie and Nova because you can’t stun monsters like you used to and there are more stealth and camo monsters. Poison because of the new poison eater rule (which can really mess up things in Time Attack) and because of stealth and camo.

I beat the event but found the final few levels of 4 and 3 min much more difficult than before.

I find wormholes to be way more challenging this time than usual. For me it required specific teams to counter each wormholes rather than going in blindly with Nova Toad Violet and winning first try.

Your right, it’s definitely playing a bit different due to the changes, but my Novadrake team easily finished the whole event (without wormholes). But I realized that I also play this kind of team differently now.

It’s the best example why the 99% focus on adjusting for PvP is highly affecting PvE strategies, specifically for weaker players, in a game, where 90+% of the content is actually PvE. Purpie was so useful for weaker players, now he is way more difficult to set up than before. And Purpie guaranteed also very fast matches, it speeded up the playtime significantly.

The developers should avoid changing tactics dramatically like they always do in reaction of specific PvP abusive strategies. I just like to refer to two this time, to make my point clear. Temporary stun immunity after getting stunned and a 3 piece summon limit for Yukis or Nautipods.

A way better strategy to change this problem would have been, to create PvP specific rules (as a part of the restriction list), that avoid this abusive behaviors. So saying ‘summon limitation set to 3’ and ‘stuning will give a temporary immunity until next turn’ would have been much more easy to implement and way less disturbing the game mechanics than the current way. It was taking so many month until the balance was found with the new stun system, you rendered so many monsters useless for the whole game in return of fixing the small problematic PvP locking tactics.

I didn’t see a change in additional camouflage monsters, that was probably just bad luck in the random teams in your time attack event this time.

And I like to mention that they secretly stripped the rewards value.

Dear developers, the Neo Monsters ‘hardcore’ players community is small and very tightly connected, we have screenshots/videos for comparison of almost every content, people actually do notice if you give less rewards than before. I initially felt like not playing it at all after seeing the rewards a week ago just out of principle as a protest. But of course I eventually played it, it’s PvE content after all which I value a lot.

Having said that, please bring back the riddle styled mini event from a few years ago, it was really fun to solve the easy/intermediate/tough strategies on how to beat the matches. I can understand that this content is more difficult to produce than just recycling previous events, but it were only a couple of matches and it was quite fun for many players.

If you have Arachnodrake, you can try this setup in the future
Gaiawolf (for acceleration and absorber) Dracorosa Arachnodrake Oak any petal sister Arbo
After his SS just keep spamming toxic thirst. Very effective in events like TA/Whales.

What changed?

4 minute, round 7 reward was previously an Alterramid and now a Cryptamid.

I can understand, that we’re not obliged for any rewards, but expecting a specific reward and seeing it exchanged, creates disappointment.

i think everyone wants to play and enjoys this event when they come out. even if it has low rewards people like trying to figure out the strategy to beat them.

@Dev_VKC if you want more ideas on making some more of these then im sure some of the community can make some interesting puzzles.
