I’ve been playing since before mythics were in the game so I’ve had the maximum amount of time to accumulate them. I actually had 240 rare gems saved up when they first came out but that only got me ahead by one mythic hatch.
to give a little more context with my bad luck in mythical, only drakion +6. I got 2 of them by buying gems on anniversaries.

Really? Those people must be quite lucky. I’ve got practically all the free gems since mythics came out and am not quite there. I’d normally consider my account to have more than basically any other F2P account due to me getting all the gems I can. I’ve got +6 on a few but there should still only be some free players on 3-5, not “many”.
It is surprising that you have fewer mythics than me though (22 vs my 23). I guess your money spending was to awaken some mythics, rather than spending on lots of different eggs.
Let’s do the math.we can get 3750 gems at most for 1000 dollars. it will be 940 egg. According to the probability of mythic.it will be 9.4 mythic monsters.
then. 94 rare eggs . it will be 0.75 mythic monsters.

In my opinion you (DLGZ) are that kind of spenders that are ashamed of spending and you go in denial.
PS: “I buy only gem deals” still count like expense yeah, even if 150 are free gems
