Why are the people who get the ark from the OM basement dwellers? That was a little offensive… And pretty much no where near the truth. You know what time the mission is. And it’s a Saturday so plan accordingly. I work on Saturdays when the mission starts and I still get it pretty much every time in pool b. Not while I sit in my basement but while I’m at work.
I’m tired of people complaining about not getting. And then saying the only people who get it don’t have a life. I find a way to get it while I’m at work. So I’m sure other people can fit it into there schedule. And if you can’t, oh well then just shut up and realize you were busy and didn’t get the ark. You got a whole week now to plan on having nothing going on at 5 est next Saturday.
But it’s not like it’s a surprise when it’s gonna be? People can plan on doing the OM because they know what time it will be! So if you don’t care enough to set aside some time, you shouldn’t complain when you don’t get it. When I started I didn’t get them because I was too slow. It didn’t make me want to quit, it made me farm and level more to get better.
Everyone has a different lifestyle and I understand you’re frustrated but I must remind you that this is a game and getting upset over this and attacking others because you feel it is unfair isn’t going to do anything other than aggravate everyone else towards you.
I’m glad you have such a loving relationship with your wife and your family but that doesn’t mean others don’t have something similar
I will be giving you a warning next time you call any other player a basement dweller or attack anyone’s lifestyle. After that, it will be a ban.
Also, no matter what time they moved it to, the result would be exactly the same and you would still be complaining and asking them to change it again.
Ok you are busy and can’t get the OM ark. It’s part of life. Regardless what time they put it at some people aren’t gonna get it. Crying and making judgements about other people who can get it is not the right thing to do. I have a life that demands a lot but honestly 20 minutes on a Saturday is not too demanding for anyone really.
Please take your rude comments about what your stereotype of people who play this game elsewhere.
@Zero_Out: I’ll let you know, first, that I work a very busy job as a game developer and still have time for the mission. I only point this out in defense of your stereotypical views toward people who have time to play the mission.
Now, quite honestly, your point is a valid one. There are some situations in life that cannot be rescheduled to make room for a game event (especially job related situations). This discussion has been brought up countless times with the developers, but it’s not an easy one to address without a complete system re-design. However, that’s what they’re working on (albeit likely in the form of a new game…).
So, your frustration is valid. I think, though, that helping come up with new ideas to remedy the issue along with your complaint would be more productive than insulting those people who are able to do the mission.

Since week 7 I have done every OM and I have won it. I don’t have OP arks. I don’t run an all shadow-team or a frizzleon-fire-team. I run a normal balanced team that should probably suck compared to what other people use but I still finish and get the OM ark. To put it into YOUR perspective: I work Monday to Saturday from 10-6. I run my own business which is in the health field. My business does about $900 000 a year, where $350 000 is pure profit. Now, you tell me how busy I am? oh… wait… please also tell me that I still live with my parents or in some basement. I’d be glad to hear that… oh wait… you already did. lol
My apologies to all those who have read my comments, and found them to be offensive. They were, and I’m sorry. I was letting my bad mood seep into a silly problem over a game, and I spread the negativity toward you. Please accept my unreserved apology. I am editing my comments so anyone who read reads them at a future date won’t be offended by them.
Now that I am of more sound mind, I’d like to state my grievance concisely, and politely. By tying the OM reward to a specific time of the day/week, it excludes a large portion of the playerbase from being able to participate, and fully enjoy the content. Some, perhaps most, players can arrange their schedule to match that of the game, but a large portion of them cannot. If a player can join in at the time the OM starts, they can enjoy the excitement of racing to finish it, knowing that they have a chance at the final reward. If a player cannot join in when the OM starts, then they know they have no chance, and completely miss out on that excitement, and the rewards that may come with it. I believe that a better solution is needed, so that everyone has a fair chance at the OM ark regardless of when they can join in during the week.
Honestly, no matter what day or time, it’s still going to have the exact same issue of others who cannot participate because of the exact issues you’ve described or at least similar in the way it would prevent them from participating in the OM and they would still be out of prizes in 30 minutes or less.
I do think that the percentages need be adjusted slightly to keep them limited but allow a few more people to gain access for the Arks
I’m more frustrated at how people react agressively towards any aspect of the game. Why can’t everyone just try to calm down- vent out your disappointment/frustration nicely without attacking anyone else. I’m sure if you don’t get the OM arks and then post something like ‘I don’t have any of the exclusive arks- how do I win the OM??’ people would be happy to give you advice. I missed out on a lot of brilliant arks on Season 1, and I scoured the forum looking for any tips on farming, leveling up etc and they are most useful! I have zero luck in spinning eggs, I still haven’t got two of the starters (hence no starter fusions) but I managed to get two of the OM arks that I wanted so bad (Triphoon and Scorpionix). As a side note, I have a regular job, have to sometimes work over the weekend, got a husband, and have just moved 7300miles to a place where the OM starts at 5 am on Sunday. Sure it would be great if the system can be fixed, but they said everything will be released into the wild anyway. In the meantime, why don’t we all just chill and take advantage of the forum - discussing the game, getting tips and tricks etc. You know it doesn’t do you any good, going bananas over some arks you missed.
Or here’s a tip- do what I do when I miss some über-cool arks (SHADOWSTALKER ARGH): curse a bit (screaming into a pillow is encouraged), put your mobile/device in a drawer and silently promise to never to return to the game, do something else for a few hours or even a day or two, then break your promise and try again on the next OM
Multiples should really be banned from Online Missions.
I finished the OM in just under 13 minutes; I got a prize of course. I have 4 frillzeons, ranks: SSAB, that made the OM earth monsters a breeze to kill
While this is awesome for me, being in Pool B, i think multiple frillzeons really makes Finishing in the 1% a virtual guarantee, regardless of OM monster element.
I’m not an egg timer (just a lucky spinner), but I’m sure that the experienced egg timers all have several frillzeons as well. This makes getting an OM monster that much harder for other players, especially those in Pool A.
I know there is a thread about this already, but I wanted to make this point again because I know how much it sucks to finish in under a half hour yet miss the prize. That’s just unfair to non-timers.
I, for one, still play the game just because it’s fun; Even though I lose the missions nearly everytime. I made it a point to start at the exact launch time, and couldn’t finish fast enough because I don’t have any good fire arks which is my own fault so I paused and came back later to finish way late. I’ve been playing since Subzeratops last season. I’ve only got that OM and had finished in the less-than 40 minute mark several times last season. I take it as I’ve just not dedicated the time to build up a variety of teams strong enough to farm any versions thrown at me yet. I’ve started a second and third game-save to hope for better egg luck, but it’s still not lookin too good!
I really liked this OM ark, so I even went and spent some cash on it, didn’t win any from my few extra $15 worth of rolls, but that’s life. I helped the Creators keep creating by supporting them.
Maybe, just maybe when these are released into the wild as rare encounters, I’ll finish my team for PVP, but I’m having a heck of a time building it with my terrible luck and only subtle dedication.
Any news on re-release of these arks? I mean it know there’s only so many OM seasons til the only-OM-arks run out. Will we be getting another chance through later OM to finish the collection? Will we be able to have rare encounters? New islands? I need some kinda incentive to keep me hooked.
