I have been avoiding asking for help on my teams for PVP for the most part with a few exceptions, but I’m at the point where I figure any help is better than no help. Below is my current team and it has been serving me very well this PvP. My issue lies with the endgame for it. The last 4 slots or so are variable and I am looking to craft something a bit stronger. Any advice is appreciated.
P.S. I am figuring on utilizing the Gryphking I just evolved and Astrogolem as a possibility for late game, but currently the last 4 in my team seem to flounder. When they work, they work great, but I would like something more solid to rely on to make comebacks in the endgame.
I’m a little confused about Glitterwisp or whatever his name is. I understand you’re trying to set up a 4on1 with Oni but it seems he is more volatile to you than for the enemy.
Pros:
-Wakes your team up from a sleep lock and is sleep immune. Sets up a possible 4on1 by Oni.
Cons:
-Angelion is literally 2 slots before him to counter sleep.
-You have no detox strike monsters to pair him with.
-If you keep cloning him ( which you probably don’t) or the enemy repulses him he will possibly: Negate Oniblade’s HG, kill off your last Sanctallions and negate Vainess’ shield.
Other possible issues with your team:
-Galvbane is a 50/50 FL monster, no matter what they say. I assume he is there to kill Sherloid. Also you already have Megalo to sorta counter protectors.
-Armadiator gets going pretty slowly and I don’t see why the enemy wouldn’t eliminate him quickly in your FL.
-After Leo you won’t have decent stun protection for a long time! One well placed stun wave from Novadrake and you’re probably done for.
-Link water is risky with only 4 monsters. At least your monsters can do something even when link water fails.
Other than these little remarks I like the innovativity. It looks like a fun team and I can see it working even how it is now! You can try Astrogolem and Gryphking end game but then you would need to have some source of Rockoids earlier in your team.
On another note @Killerdog this kind of team would be destroyed by Hurricane. If it becomes mainstream, innovative teams like this will disappear!
I appreciate the feedback and agree with your points. The wisp and Oni have been removed already. It was fun while it lasted but it was pretty much throwing something together for endgame. Galvbane is there to hit Sherloid so that Megalo can hit Cani/Scorpio/any other fast threat unimpeded by Sherloids Auto Protect, and unfortunately because of Camoflauge Megalos Assassinate is, well, ■■■ against FL until its removed. Realistically this PvP i see Sherloid in 70% of the FLs I come across, so this has been working out for me.
I want so badly to run more Stun Counters and such up front, my issue here is that for some reason everyone and their mother has crayons of Chrono Killers with Roaring entrance ready to make quick snacks of all these mons. It’s almost disgusting as with the Roaring I just have to sit and watch as Searguard and Icefang and Chromera, usually following each other, just come in and enjoy themselves on my Stun Counters. Really bites.
Armadiator in front is kind of a crapshoot, but hes been functioning well for me as a strange niche spot. Leogeist is usually the first thing taken out in the FL followed by Meglo or the Motordragon that comes in, so it’s strange but Armadiator gets going off pretty well most of the time. I have been debating switching the spots of Armadiator and Sherloid so that Sher is in the FL. This doesnt really do anything bad to Meglo as not a single person that I have played that actually has a protector in FL has used anything but Sherloid or Sanctistag which both render Assassinate useless anyways. Sher in my FL would keep Leo safe a tad longer but… meh, I’m still tinkering.
