The ranked PvP 6/12 ticket start was introduced to stop disadvantaged time zones from losing tickets while they sleep.
I was wondering if anything could be done about the end of ranked as well?
For us in European timezones, ranked finishes at about 3:00-5:00 am and we lose 5-7 tickets this way, which could be a 5-7k difference.
It can’t be good for Asia too, as I assume it’s finishing on a Monday morning when people are getting ready for school or work.
I know there have been a few occasions where players have missed out due to choosing sleep. #snoozingmeanslosing. This is the whole reason that I’ll personally never push for #1 again and always bow out with several tickets yet to come
I can’t be the only one right?
Does anyone have any good ideas to help mitigate this?
I’m sure @Dev_VKC is all ears

that give the total of entries referring to the 3 days, people manage when to play them in terms of their time, whether someone cannot play one day or has a problem with the schedule, they can play at another time if they have time
I’m in EST so I think I’ll have to recuse myself from this thread lol

No matter what rules, some people feel good and those who feel bad. Some people may be satisfied with the current rules. Or maybe you can’t fight at all with the current rules. And that person may be the first place if he fights. Even if they change the beginning and end, it will only change the convenient and bad people. Then change the day of the week? That is the same.
I think the most important thing is to do your best among fixed rules.

I don’t see many viable options, because if they change their time, they’re going to affect another time zone.
I think as an option to divide the qualifying PvP into 2 sections, the first 2 days without changes, and from the 3rd day, they give double the number of tickets per hour (the accumulated should reach 12), that way in the first 12 hours you can finish all the tickets of the day.

They can’t on the final day though. On the other days you simply play your tickets before you sleep and they recharge while you sleep and then you wake up and play them. You don’t have that option on the last day. It’s either stay up to 3 am or be disadvantaged.
Yeah I’m not asking that. I understand that it suits the American timezones and I wouldn’t want to take that away. Just wondering if someone had any others ideas.
For example, imagine if 5 hours before the end, the final 6 tickets came to everyone at once and it increased the limit to 18. That way everyone would be able to play their tickets and Europe and Asia wouldn’t be disadvantaged. It’s those sorts of ideas I was wondering if anyone had

In fact, the last 6 tickets coming all at once and a limit increase to 18 is a perfect fix (so you don’t lose tickets if you have more than 6 remaining). @Dev_VKC
That way, times don’t change and everyone can play them before they go to bed
@Dev_VKC can we change the ranking system to value wins over matches played (or at least give them a heavier weight).
I only lost once to players who finished above me during ranked (gg @TOG KingStun btw), yet they finished higher because they played a bunch of games.

There was a time i slept at night.
Then i started playing Neomonsters…
Either that or make tix stop regenerating 6-8 hours ahead of time and leave the final hours to play matches

Yes Aero!! These are the sorts of ideas I’m looking for! Not to reduce/ change the PvP times.
Another option is to make all tix available on a day to day basis, ie, all Saturday tix available at once at say 12 pm and reset at 12pm the next day

I don’t think that’s a good idea in my opinion, let’s imagine that every day the 12 tickets are available and that most players spend them early in the morning, the few who play at night would run the risk of not finding a game in several minutes. I think this issue is very complex and delicate, if there is any change, I hope it does not affect any continent. @Dev_VKC
No system will be perfect, these are just suggestions. Yes it’s possible that could happen though
92 matches in three whole days? Ha! Those are rookie numbers for a pond dweller such as myself
Just gonna point out that UC is exactly the same. it also finishes at like 3-5AM for most of Europe.
the ticket system works better there imo.
though obviously a 6 match limit would be crazy.
unless it was done similarly on to UC on the final day only.
Your feet are orange because you live in the same water you piss in @NMEduck

I agree it’s risky to give all the tickets in one day. They obviously have the limit to keep the ticket flow steady.
The final 6 tickets coming early, 5 hours before the end is perfect imo.

Actually, perhaps it’s because they beat a bunch of players you lost to? It’s essentially like a big premier league
