The crux of this question Is this. Do you think people who share their account during ranked pvp (meaning their transfer code is being applied to a different device during the ranked pvp time period) should receive the same punishment as people who keep BM’ing the community after being warned? The punishment would be being banned the whole next season of pvp in addition to being stripped of their rank the current PvP? Yes or No? Gonna keep this anonymous because I’m sure there will be collusion among clan lines (as close as I will get to naming names ).
Yes - they should be banned the subsequent season in addition to their rank the current season being removed .
No - the current punishment of having their rank removed in the current season is sufficient.
Can we lock the thread to replies and then pin it to the top of the forum? I didn’t set a poll close date but if one of you will close it on 11/7 (a week from now) at midnight your time, we can see a consensus and not have arguing here.
What happens if I transfer my account to my iPad but I’m still the one playing? I think the devs would be able to tell because the IP address stays the same right?
Edit:
On this note, I think all of the cheaters like DLGZ L, Laxus, wu lsp, etc. should have their past rankings removed. There’s absolutely no reason to keep acknowledging these guys
Yeah that’s what I meant, and I’m sure they can track them to different time zones. The odds of what you said happening is really low and if you get banned for that and appealed it I’m sure they’d agree nevertheless.
Take note of the results and what we as a community think is fair and will tolerate (I hope you can see who voted and can note who is colluding if there is any).
Imho the punishment should be more severe. Maybe you could start having even more serious consequences for repeat offenders. BMers may be annoying, but account sharers gain a real advantage, stealing leaderboard spots and rewards in a way even MasterMarco couldn’t manage, AND it is easier to do, since at least bmers still have to wait just as long as their victims
Yes, but given nobody has done that in the last hour maybe it’s good to leave it open until that happens. Since I made the poll anonymous people will be hesitant to do that here because it’d reveal their decision. So I’d say keep it open but at the very first instance this happens then close it but keep the poll open.
During ranked PvP, you gain tickets(which are used to fight in PvP) at a set rate. There is also a max number of tickets. Any tickets gained while your tickets are maxed are lost. So, for a normal person, a quite large percentage of their tickets are wasted due to work, sleep, etc. However, if you share accounts, you can abuse time zones and different schedules to ensure that no tickets are wasted, allowing you to do more battles during ranked PvP, allowing you to place higher.
This isn’t the only advantage of sharing accounts, but it is by far the largest,Mandy it is the one that imo is most unfair.
