We are on the same boat, we should battle next pvp!!
This game is meant to be based around setups. You are not meant to be able to come in and blast away everything. You are not meant to be able to freely take the top rewards. The game is not here to provide instant gratification. The time spent to be able to craft teams is meant to be a journey of learning the mechanics in the game and devising your own strats. There is much easier content than floor 150 SotF, top10 PvP, 300+ UC, floor 100 DC. The easier content have no need for something like chronox, who is the equivalent of giving everyone a last biter. One year is not a lot of time to become competitive with players that have been here SINCE LAUNCH, that ALSO PAY. I’m nearly a f2p player, so your first comment instantly holds no ground against me. A monster being “awesome” does not justify it remaining OP. As elitist as it sounds, there isn’t supposed to be competition between f2p and p2p players, logically, it should be a curb stomp. There is no reason why devs should introduce mechanics that let brand new players stomp on veterans. It just doesn’t make sense and undermines the whole purpose of playing long enough to collect all the monsters. But what you don’t seem to get is how much a factor skill plays into this game. There are many, many, many players that I recognize who have been around for <5 months that easily can hold their own against people who have been here since the early days. I don’t know any other recently popular mobile game that lets you be competitive with the top p2p players within one year of you creating an account. Please enlighten me. If you’re looking for a game that has an even lower level cap, than I suggest you look elsewhere. The skill gap in this game is much more significant than the level gap, which becomes insignificant very, very quickly within the first few months of active play.
If you’re going to complain about the p2p people in the top 10 PvP, why do you care about them? You will most likely never face them, as there is a massive wall of skill that you must climb to get from 600-900 points before you even start to see the literal top-tier players. In lower ranks, it literally turns into whoever chronox’s moves first, because you literally have no counter due to lacking monsters. If the high-tier PvP meta has issues dealing with chronox, where we have most of the monsters in the game, how do you think your opponent feels when you wipe their entire team with him in the 400-600 point range because they literally have no monsters that can counter him midgame? Sure there are counters to him, but the existing counters only experienced players have access to, or the very few lucky mid-rank players that drew and succeeded on the special eggs for aegis/leo/gallio, etc. In the other events, most of the time ranking does not even matter, ie SotF, DC, IC, so whether p2p players are there is irrelevant. In UC, unless you can fly up to 200 every single time with ease to the first GK, I don’t see your argument, as you don’t even need legendaries to get there. I have seen it with my own eyes, trust me. So in the end, it comes down to the fact that chronox is a monster that makes the game ridiculously easy and reduces the skill floor required to complete certain in-game events. THAT, is what we older players are concerned about. The game was not very hard to start with, there is no reason to make it easier than it already is.
Your thinking is backwards. You think because he is awesome, but since he is attainable by everyone it is ok. So I assume you would imply that this means ZibelKong was nerfed correctly because it was hard to attain and thus only a few people had it and we couldn’t counter it. No, Chrono needs to be nerfed because if everyone has him, it only makes the problem that much bigger. ZibelKong was not raised as an issue because he was hard to attain AND overpowered, he was an issue only because it was straight up broken; whether the strat was easily obtainable was besides the point. Chrono is the same.
Nerfing chronox means future legs will not creep higher to beat chronox. It is also easier to nerf a few outliers than the alternative choice, which would be to power up everything else to an equal level to chronox. At that point, everything will oneshot everything else instantly. What is the point of strategy then? This is exactly why we are asking for a nerf. We don’t want power creep, and Chronox, if you can’t see it, is part of the power creep itself. You don’t build continuously stronger legs to deal with other strong legs.
This game is based around sleep team, you have sleep = ez game
This game is based around sleep teams.
As for uc having sleep + deathmark or nightgrip can take you to 600 without trouble
Except for pvp.
I still don’t understand why people have the mentality that they must reach level 600. It’s there because it’s there and some people can beat it. It is not there for the general populace to achieve.
