No words

That’s a great idea RNA Lucrayzor. I would welcome a major bonus to a beloved leg. How many of us strive for those leg potions in events after all!

Lol. People complaining about getting legs. I’ll take the legs off you. You can have the Epics I got in my packs. Haha.

For the record I’m complaining about not getting legs :joy:

I feel your frustration. I just spent 50 gems and got two legendaries that I already had. Normally this would give my existing mons a bonus but sadly since they were a different color all I got was two legendaries that I can’t play. Who’s great idea was that??? I don’t have a problem spending money just don’t Treat me like an idiot.

Think devs are looking at making them more useful in the future.

Yeah, I’ve also had terrible luck the past two festivals I managed to save 300 gems. One was the one with the Black Beast which I only got Mojinator, the rest was useless and also the Christmas one, which I got the tree thing and a dupe Tiamazus (but the shiny one).

I really struggle to understand why we have 3 auto poisoners with the exact same moveset and they go and introduce a fourth one, with a different colour but same moveset.
I’m sorry buy for a game that already has too many useless monsters it’s clear to me that the priority is to create more and more to grab money from gullible players instead of fixing what is broken and making money in a different way (like paid extra content).
I have never spent any money on this game and will refuse to do so until it stop being a gambling scheme. I’m happy to pay for certainty. If I wanted to gamble I would go to a casino. I don’t even understand how gambling can be allowed into video games.

It’s a shame, it is a great game but the greedy vision behind it is keeping the player base very small for such potential. Apparently it is a lot better to have a handful of players spending a fortune than millions of players spending 0.99 every now and then.

Haha my 7-12thpack rolls were all dupes so i wasted 300 gems, if i only knew that would happen, i wouldve stopped at 6th, odds are odd,…

Wow…

TBH. There’s a lot of room for improvement in balancing the game.

I know a lot of peeps here don’t like Hearthstone. But the ideas and the way Hearthstone is designed is so much fairer to both paying players and non-paying players.

Here’s a few things that has gone wrong imho:

  • Potions to decrease TU
  • Only way to get monsters is via purchasing eggs
  • The many ‘known’ bugs
  • Not having clear indicators of the state of the game
  • Time limiting growth

Here’s a few things that I believe can significantly improve the gameplay for everyone:

  • Remove potions. All monsters will be the same
  • Have a system to create monsters. Like Hearthstone’s card crafting feature
  • Have clear indicators of the game state. By doing this, it should also remove a lot of the ‘known’ bugs
  • Remove time tickets that are in place forcing players to use gems to renew
  • Replace some of the gem awards for eggs
  • Reduce the price of gems (be surprised by the number of increase in sales)
  • Introduce add-on content that players can purchase
  • Change focus to creating stories around monsters, rather than just churning out monsters for the sake of churning out new monsters
  • Replace daily login with daily quests that provide better rewards

Once these changes are in place, I believe there’ll be less complaints and player base will increase as well as purchases.

But obviously all these significant changes will upset most, if not all of the existing players… I hope these changes will be implemented in neo mons 2.

Interesting, I haven’t played Hearth stone.

  • I like the potions but I would like to have some indicator of whether my opponents mon is potted. Maybe an icon or something?
  • creating mons would be awesome. Or maybe something simpler like Pokemons breeding where the offspring get a combo of attacks and attributes even if the avatar is the same as one of the parents (save the devs some design)
  • the tickets are annoying but I do understand it keeps you from burning through all of the content in a day. The devs would have to have PvP live or UC/WT/Dungeon/GoH on all the time and I think we would get bored with those events if they were live all the time.
  • what do you mean replace gems with eggs?
  • lower gem price would be a definite win for all. I bet the Devs could analyze total intake and see it is much higher when gems aren’t a dollar. That has always seemed an outrageous price, esp given the terrible odds of drawing a game changing leg.
  • add on content would be cool.
  • I agree, I always appreciated Pokemons monster back stories even if it was just a couple lines in the Dex that didn’t add much to the gameplay.
  • it would be cool for daily missions but I bet the Devs don’t have the capacity.

Great ideas though and I hope the Devs are considering these for Neo 2

That’s the problem. In the previous game (Hunter Island), there was a huge issue with monster ranks, being S the one with more chances of bonus attacks. They had a lot of negative feedback from players and removed the feature altogether when Neo Monsters came out. For some reason they decide to introduce it again because people were getting fed up with useless dupes. Instead of fixing the egg system, they made the whole thing even more pay to win.

And now you have a bunch of players that will get upset because they spent too much money getting they monsters at +9.

In my opinion, the devs lack vision to actually exploit the game’s full potential. When everyone is getting annoyed by the p2w nature of mobile gaming, why not go in the other direction?
Stop creating useless monsters and start promoting events paid events where you can actually enter to win a specific legendary. Who wouldn’t pay 0.99 to access those events once a month?
Then you remove the frustration aspect of people spending money for absolute nothing, you level the playing field by skills rather than money spent and you also increase the fanbase.

Eggs should be a gamble for who wants to speed up the process of getting the legends.
One legend a month equals 12 a year or £12 for the guaranteed chance of acquiring them.
If your fanbase is in the million region, that’s a bunch of money just from one event.
I’m not one for spending money on mobile gaming, but I’m happy to pay for complete games or for extra content that I actually have full access to what is being offered.

You know, I quite like the idea of charging small money for events. Smaller prices are far more likely to catch the casual eye as well as hardcore, and if even half of the playerbase is willing to do it regularly, then it could be a MASSIVE boost to the dev’s income, and the best part is that it’s totally guilt free. I think it’s reasonable to charge maybe 1-5 bucks to give people a moderate chance(like maybe 30-40) of getting the featured legend, and if they don’t then they still have opportunity to get a nice load of rewards(gems, potions, rares, etc.) in order to GUARANTEE that they at least get something decently useful for their money. Undercharging seems a bad financial plan at first glance, but the beautiful thing about it is that it keeps people coming back for more.

Agreed - the ol’ “make it up in volume.” Worked for McDonald’s and Walmart!

I will just add that I have bought gems on two occasions that I remember. Didn’t get a damn thing either time (or possibly a crappy duplicate). Bad enough that I have a bad taste in my mouth.

However I have 27 legendaries, and basically all were from free gems and rare eggs (though a lot lately especially). So I look at this big gem sale and I get really tempted to spend but think of how I got diddly in the past and don’t spend… so I think a lack of guarantees really hampers spending in the long term.

Ya. But what they’ve been doing is working and we keep buying. Plus they also wanna keep it from being a pure P2W.

I have 26 legends and I’ve also been getting too many dupes. If you consider that half of the original legends are pretty much useless or low rank, I believe it’s already past the time they release those monsters as rewards and remove them from eggs. If I thought I had poor odds when I had no legends and seeing how terrible my results have been with 6 10 in 1 eggs from free gems (twice now) it shows me that there is no way in hell I’ll be spending money in gems anytime soon. It’s no value for money whatsoever.
No monster is worth more than £5 in my opinion (and that’s being very generous). I’ve said it before, a game like GTA V comes out at £50 and they can keep the servers and the game running without asking you to pay more. How come you are expected to pay hundreds or thousands for a ‘chance’ to win a single monster that might become obsolete in a few months? Also, what is thr guarantee that the players have that the devs won’t jump to another game and leave this one to die?
I don’t know, maybe I’m too old to wrap my head around this new game system where you need to spend a lot of money for potentially (and most likely) no reward whatsoever.
