It’s great to see them offering opportunities for newer players to catch up. We shouldn’t be bitter about this, we should encourage it!

If that was the case then they should not have removed last biters from regular egg pool.

That’s not “catching up”, that’s ruining the early-mid game. Opportunities to get limited legendaries and in general ways to get more legendaries for fewer gems… that’s helping them catch up.

This is a time limited egg for new players, and we have run this for a while.
The monsters in this egg have been featured several times with different deals in the past though, more or less.

We will also have Newcomer Missions featuring a brand new monster soon, that will be available to all players.

I believe many(including dev team) agree Neo Monsters is not an easy game.
We would like new players to understand the game properly and health.
I am sorry but Last Biters have been proven a cancer for the learn curve :dizzy_face:

They wouldnt be cancer if you just give the last bite move on the ultra evolved form. Anyway that’s my thoughts on the festival. (I want lavaronix, deo, hellfox, and aegis) can i swap my mechaviathan for lavaronix though?

I dont think newcomers would know just how good those legendaries are :sweat_smile:

2 things:

  1. If last biters have proven to be terrible for the learning curve, could we buff them to be good options end game when we have dozens of legendaries that do well in the backline? I don’t have much reason to use them back there right now because other legends are better end game due to ease of use(biters get blown up before they are last monster alive).

  2. Ankou is not a good beginner legendary because link death sentence requires a lot of specific monsters to use well. Also, the fact that the second form has eternal revenge but no eternal rebirth makes no sense, so a newcomer getting that monster will probably not be able to use it of appreciate it very much.

  2. Its second form skill has changed. No more Eternal Rebirth.
    Yes, you are right, Ankou is not an easy monster to use.
    But since we have another Dark Link monster, Noxdragon, available to everyone, we think it may not be a bad idea.

I don’t personally feel like that secret skill was enough. It was a good start, but current their issue is that they don’t have a way to stay alive long enough to be the last one there. A Secret skill does help, but it also raises the cost of the monster. I would say that it would make more sense to look at a secret skill not as a buff, but as an additional way to play with a monster, and additional option. The core monster itself is still too weak for me to want to use it.

Noxdragon and Ankoudragon are two fundamentally different monsters. Nox wants to get as many turns as possible, Ankoudragon with turns doesn’t know what to do with them, and doesn’t have good options before link death sentence goes off. If you build a team around 1 of these two monsters, then the other one doesn’t do as much as it would need to in order to warrant building the team with it in it.

If you want a good dark link monster, then replace Ankoudragon with Azrazel. Building a team with Azrazel and Noxdragon in it will have a much greater payoff, and would be a better thing to give beginners.

Anyway, these are just my opinions on it.
