New Balance Changes (Update Ver.2.58)

Me alegroporbellaco

Buy Selkette

She does not protect from stun😔

2 nice buffs. (These 2 are the only ones I noticed)

Oh kasumi buff

The changes that have been happening recently I think are to help introduce players to some of the mechanics of the game, more so than helping with content. In most cases you’re correct they don’t matter to veteran players. However, I think this time they actually make a big difference! Those OoO monsters got super charged!

Piercing ignores defence, so her damage move always does the same damage. It’s basically a faster void power slash but does critical if they are sleeping.
Edit: I see Unown replied to this also, still leaving this reply anyway because it adds a bit more context.

Thanks for testing this. I quoted Coltraz and wrote some stuff about how it might be super good with Giehretus or something but I guess it does make sense they didn’t want to turn the monster into a crazy killing machine if it gets any turns. Still, the damage is very decent from the explosion.

I’m normally very positive about game updates, but with this I have to agree it’s not as good as I was hoping.

Most buffs are random or unnecessary. The nerfs are too small and there are some pretty well known nerf requests flying around that weren’t addressed (there always are, but there aren’t enough positives here to balance them out).

The one thing I really love is the SE buffs. These are much more significant than they might seem at first glance!

The other great thing is the Y Ddraig Goch buff. That monster has become sorely outdated over the years and this super charged buff makes it playable. I hope people have fun with it.

You can refer to my reply in this thread.

Onxia was released around the same time as Dragulus, and in fact, it performed much better in terms of usage. It ranked as the 11th most-used Mythic monster among the top 200 PvP players in the previous season.

I hope that helps clarify things.

We prefer not to apply large buffs to a monster all at once. We’ve learned from past cases like Albion and Astrajlyth. Rather than giving big buffs just to incentivize hatching, we hope these monsters can follow a path more like Onika’s—gradually receiving small buffs over time.

That said, there is a condition: if a monster was already popular in the past or had its prime during an older meta, it’s less likely to receive buffs. Onika, for example, was unpopular since release, which made it a better candidate for gradual improvements, oh and, she is a waifu.

Will Auraleus get any small buff?

Who can explain to me why the mythical Zephyramus with the Attack and Defense that it has above 5600 points when it does not have 1 SE or lower does not do much damage with its attacks, when it is supposed that those monsters what they should do is empower it, it is as if when it meets other mythical monsters on the field it weakens or worse yet when it is left alone as the last monster on the field it does not do more than 2000 damage to any enemy when other monsters with less attack points do more damage than it.

I hope selkette is on that buff list she still really bad

Ophidiator was never popular and won’t be if he stays with those skills
Rex terminator was never popular despite being an anniversary monster and will never be (maybe you can make him have synergy with new legendary to give new life to mortar monsters )
Doomhoof was never popular and won’t be , it’s a total disaster for a token remover monster , when will you give him his stun converter just like all the other horses

I understand what you mean but he is very bad maybe the people who do not fight a good top use him but the best players who fight the top 10 or 1 never use him because in this meta it is very bad and it is not good to use a 16 cost slot on a mythic that by itself will bother the user more than the rival and you have to give him a lot of support so that he is not dead weight I am not telling you to put it meta but a small buff so that it can be considered to use in the best teams or at least give it a little more playability and like a double poison eater or his ss at 59 like dragulus and suike and even with this he would not be good but it would be easier to play with him please consider it and keep it in mind😔

Consider giving Onyxia its old SS or at least a swift version. There are a lot of cases where tweaks to certain monsters were necessary in the past but would be completely ok today. For example the original Dolphin Bond was a bit ahead of its time but would be completely ok now. As well as the old A.S. Myst/ Poseidon combo.

I love you

Onyxia getting 70TU swift knockback random is all it needs. The rest of the moveset is perfectly fine. It’s tanky and supportive. The 1TU was always a bit silly, but since Onyxia usually cannot be aggressive immediately it really wants a good way to interact with the enemy team.

When it changed from 1TU → 160TU knockback it drastically weakened the use Onyxia has in the front line. That’s what I found most noticeable. I can’t use it there any more.

I don’t feel super strongly about this buff needing to happen, just sharing my thoughts

I had proposed a double poison eater since its attack stat is low and both monsters would have to be poisoned to be able to kill, but your suggestion is also very good.

You meant Majorie.
I see
