OMG Satomi on S+, my wishes came true!!! By the way, thanks for reading my opinion about Mai and Vixian, I doubt they will change anything XD but at least others will know that because they are F they donāt have to be bad
rexterminator is a good monster with no waste skills. Load n charge gives well protection and combined with hold ground and it will be an advantage to rexterminator of using two hg ignoring skills by load n charge move only and stun immunity performs great in pvp .
I agree with you, but I think the issue still lies in the base design of him being a Mortar monster. To be honest, a Mortar monster with Stun Immune is pretty common, and the best of the Mortar monsters, Bloomluga, is that way not just because of itās sweeping power but because itās a Stun Absorber, it helps protect the team while being able to sweep efficiently and be a massive threats all the time. Rex is excellent, probably one of the best Mortar monsters we have, but compared to Bloom, he canāt really compare so the argument for him being higher tier isnāt realistic.
Stun Immune or not, the issue is he still has to perform a 130tu unpotted move before it can actually do anything, and even then kind of needs the Attack Boost SS to deal consistent heavy damage, so thatās upwards of 150tu before he does anything. Heās not an immediate threat, and unless you run a gimmick or a lineup to effectively support him, he may as well be counted as beinf stunned out of the game for the first 150s after his first turn, and his speed isnt the best either.
Donāt get me wrong, I love Mortar monsters, but thereās a reason Kanna is the only Mythic mortar monster and even with itās moveset itās not that great.
Piercing mortar is basically fine without attack boost, when it does pass the time to get a turn it can do two piercing kills at quite rapid TU and itās worth noting how the enemy team has to get through the shield, HP (with decent defence) and hold ground to kill it. So even if itās a while before it can attack, the enemy team has to commit a lot during that time in order to kill it and if they donāt theyāll probably face two piercing kills then itāll reset and be hard to kill again for the next 130TU.
More seriously though, the only one I can think of where itās been directly nerfing something then later undoing that nerf is Chronozerosā speed which was something like 60% then 20-25% and now 38% (numbers may not be correct). I think thereās one or two other cases with move TU as well.
Itās genuinely good stun protection in PvE, give turn is great to combine with anything that can sweep 2+ at once and team turn is very powerful. It only does support, but it supports sweepers very well. If you think about it, a monster getting you 4+ kills is undoubtedly a good thing and Mecha can consistently do that for you with team turn.
Itās nothing crazy, but itās above average (B tier - the one just below it). They were deemed top tier long ago but weāve had a lot of better stuff come out since. In PvP the original TT monsters (Mechaviathan and Lavaronix) are far worse because the 50s you need to pass for TT is too awkward to do, 160TU give turn is too slow and their tanky stats donāt matter enough when they need to pass all that time to do the TT (every opponent will kill them before that point).
It is, but I think in practice itās a bit situational. For some teams it can mess up their strategy but for others the monsters are too generically strong their order matters less. Even when it could mess up a team, itās also down to the RNG of how they get shuffled. Another point is how the monsters arenāt actually dead, you still have to face them, and battles are often decided by how things line up so the āmessed upā team might actually not line up any worse against the hurricane user.
EDIT: I didnāt make my points here clear, but I hope you can read them okay.
I completely agree. Itās one of those monsters where people havenāt seen others use it so they donāt use it themselves. Itās likely to pull gazer, bronzeshell, rockoids etc to random places, break up Link and ruin synergy.
I really like it because it has the rare combo of Insomnia and purify, so a really hard counter to sleep and it will almost always have targets as it can hit any legend.
Iāve started releasing my annual review series. They should be coming once a week until Iāve done all the elements. Thereās a thread which Iāll add them to as I release them: KD's Monster Reviews YouTube series
On YouTube I have links in the description for getting to various parts.
Best way to check is to use the forum search and do āin topicā for Kunomi. That will give you all the results of her movements since release and my comments on the changes
