Captainwhiskers was amazing on release. Neko Barrage was easier to charge and it did more damage. It was by far the strongest super epic at the time and made the 400 sec novablast legendaries look like fools. It was then promptly nerfed (more time to charge, less damage) but it’s still an excellent super epic.
Grovodeus has an interesting history. It used to be bad beyond measure, then devs buffed Spriggolo (which used to have 80+ speed) to have ‘Buddy Revival’ which led to almost every guy chasing easy wins putting Grovodeus in their teams. If you didn’t have very low Tu monsters on The field (with some degree of control), Grovodeus was impossible to kill.
In general a big change they made was RAW skills and protector killer being able to ignore protectors and target freely. This was done due to ‘AP spam’ meta, where you would put Dusicyon, bloomeluga and a bunch of auto protection to basically win the game because the AP blocked every attack and Dusicyon gave shields to everyone.
Oh and on a funny note go check out Galliodragon’s moveset on release. It’s probably the worst monster ever released, it was just sooo 
. I had fun once reading people’s comments about it (this was in 2016 when I hadn’t started playing yet).

Forgot about this one! I don’t think it did more damage, but it was 300s charge time. Probably the strongest thing you could do was use it with OoO and adjust the bonus stuff on your monsters so it got a turn only 2 seconds after everything woke up and then did neko barrage. Sleep counters were rarer at the time too, making it very challenging to counter.
A key thing left out here was that buddy revival only checked to see if you had Grovodeus on the battlefield. So what you could do was use pullback on Grovodeus then use buddy revival and create a second Grovo. As it re-entered it would create a second Spriggolo too, meaning this one use would get you 2x Grovo and 3x Spriggolo. Basically, if not properly dealt with you could loop things and get a silly amount of the pair. For a single monster that needed literally no support it was absurd and definitely an oversight when they made the buff. It was a bit of an awkward thing in the community because after the buff there were a lot of weaker players struggling to face it, but the stronger players had no trouble with it. Thankfully, the Devs kept the core idea of buddy revival, but stopped the loop potential by making it check reinforcements too.
I didn’t mention you directly, but I said “Gary and few others”, cuz I couldn’t remember any other rock lock users names to list. But take your credit anyway, mate.
Gonna add this one, Novadrake. Used to have second wind as its ss but when I came back, it changed to from the brink, basically a restricted second wind. Oh well link dark and ap spam were fun times 3 years ago but I gotta say that the meta now is kinda diverse.

Yeah used to be 50TU skills too! I thought of mentioning it but when the monster first came out it had shield entrance rather than hold ground, which was pretty terrible

as i indicated what i said it was no disrespect to you xd , i have it it’s because in some of my readings i see that you like to brag and put down other players who have not often shown you respect
but in I respect you a lot as a player you are strong and it is a pleasure to know a player of your talent even he often goes to your head
Oh yeah I just remembered, damn how they have nerfed him so 
I specifically rolled it for link dark together with nox which obliterated most of the competition at that time especially since no one uses nox aside from you
