My Opinions/Feedback as a New Player

Hello Everyone!

I’m Zeteri! A new player who started Late-June. I remembered playing this game when it first came out. I was 14-ish at the time and remembered loving it. I kept it on my device since I remembered loving it, but haven’t touched the game in about 9-years. I returned on a whim to see if it was as good as I remember… Long-story short, I’m loving it!! Tons of improvements, especially to the energy amount. But, naturally, I also have some gripes. I’ll edit this post periodically if I think of something more, or want to make simple typo/formatting adjustments. I love discussion! So, please point out if I missed something crucial or have comments of your own.

LIKES:

-Combat!! Addicting turn-based combat with a variety of strategies you can use. I love being able to mix-and-match monsters in unique way and applying different strategies. I’ve literally been addicted to this game the last month and have dropped about $100 to support the game and hopefully help development.

-Greatly improved early game. From what I remember, I ran out of energy so fast that I barely made any progress before running out. This is how the game eventually faded away for me and I stopped playing for so long. Coming back I don’t run into the issue as much. If you play strategically you can refill your energy over-and-over early game just by leveling up. EN potions being fairly common helps a ton with enjoyment too! Even then, gems are plentiful enough I believe it’s totally worth spending a few gems to refill EN early game to get your teams in a good state AND level up even quicker. Again, unlocking more tickets and team cost, which has a cascading effect. (I’m already level 105 with less than a month of everyday play.) Materials are easier to farm. Gems are more plentiful. New player banner is extremely helpful. And the new player log-in event is also invaluable!!

-In general, I love the PvP! I think it’s fun. But, player matching can be a pain sometimes. Especially facing all-Mythic teams, when I don’t even have fully evolved teams. I appreciate the occasional players who just give away wins. It’s helped me get rewards. When I wouldn’t be able to at my level and investment.

-I love all the little stories and character development. That said, some can get wordy and/or are shallow and aren’t long enough. I also swear the mainline story hasn’t made any progress at all? I swear I remember seeing the same blonde haired women in green clothes with the “Coming Soon” 9-years ago.

DISLIKES:

-Arguably my biggest dislike is all the Lewd “Godesses.” I’m a woman. I understand I’m the minority in a community like this. Being a female gamer, that tends to be the trend… but, to see so many designs be simplified to prn-like sx appeal makes me sad. The human-like designs feel uninspired and nothing but sx bait. It makes me uncomfortable for our bodies to be reduced to what seems like a sxual object and nothing more. This game is a monster battling game. Not a prn game. Selene, my only Awaked mythic, seems… less like a “Moon Goddess” and more just wings, halo… and sx appeal. Ultimately, I find myself enjoying the 2nd form of human-like Mythic designs much more then their lewd “evolved” counterparts. I did at least find the “Replace certain goddesses with thier first form” setting, however I realize this changes some of the non-human monsters too.

-Glitchy/Slow Online Systems. I’ll be frank… the online mode is slow, glitchy, and often frustrating. I’ve lost multiple PvP battles from losing connection and I’m not the only one. I’ve been on the other side of it multiple times. Which bogs down and slows PvP as a whole. There is a surprisingly long lag time for the game/server to process inputs. Again, this is especially apparent in PvP. PvP doesn’t work with my phone’s cellular data at all (Samsung S24). And I’ve lost online rewards and EN from losing connection or accidentally closing out my app.

QoL SUGGESTIONS:

-Better Pity System!! Have pity carryover to different banners and potentially lower pity. Compared to other gatcha’s like Genshin, WuWa, LADS, etc. Neo Monsters pity system seems high. 1200 Gems to guarantee a single Mythic. The gatcha system just doesn’t feel as good. And needing 4 Mythics to Awaken also caught me off guard as a new player. Don’t forget a pity system for on-banner Legendaries too! As it stands the current banner system is bad enough I don’t think I’ll ever pull on a regular banner. I’ll wait for anniversaries or banner events, which lowers overall fun. (I feel the gatcha mentioned put gatcha’s as a whole on peoples’ radar. And being the top gatcha games is notable and potentially something to learn from.)

-Tap “Sorted By” button to have a pop-up for all options to sort by. Instead of currently having to click the arrow 3+ times to find the option you actually want. (Stars, Cost, Index, Etc.)

-More letters/characters to name each Team Tab with. 8 Characters is not enough… at least 10 if not 16 would be ideal. Even “Characters” is “Characte” in the current itteration. AND this should be like the easiest QoL they could possibly implement

-Better Banner Layout. Having to click an arrow multiple times to get to the banner I want is annoying. I know it’s probably purposely designed, so you have to see every banner available to get to the “Friend Chest.” Likely theoretically increasing the chances of a player spending gems. Therefore, profit for the company. But, I still think you could achieve something similar with a different, less annoying layout.

-Notifications for when EN is full. I’m surprised this isn’t already in the game? Unless, I just completely missed it?

-I stole this from another person… I don’t remember who "There should be option to actually CATCH monsters from different islands and not just hatch them from eggs. Make the maps bigger and more grindy, much MORE. If this change requires making the game completely online then so be it. How many of us even play this game offline? Possibly none.

Just hatching the eggs to get monsters seems a bit off to me. There is no immersion or grind in current mechanics. Gather the gems and wait for banners to get the best monsters is way too simple, non immersive and a bit lame."

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!

Regarding the lewd designs, I was wondering whether designs such as the Four Guardian Beast Goddesses (Xuanwa, Whitara, Azulyn, and Emberelle), Love, and Kleopatra are considered acceptable. We’ve tried to cut back on more overtly lewd designs such as Lilybybdia and Charybdia, but we’d like to know whether the characters mentioned above are considered acceptable to players who are against waifu-style designs.

Just to clarify, you’re not toggling Secret Skills through this page, right? This feedback is based on turning Secret Skills on and off in the Edit Teams panel. I thought doing it through Edit Teams was already quick and straightforward…

You’re better off deleting this game if you aren’t P2W.

Why do you have to be so mean?

I don’t want him getting his hopes up over a piece-of-trash game; it’s better he knows right from the start that it’s not worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. We’ll do you a favor and make sure you can stay away from the forum of this piece-of-trash game you hate so much. You are welcome.

Regarding this part, when you are making the team itself a feature at some point was added and not entirely explained straightforwardly, but when you choose a monster whose SS you want to turn on/off and go to their skills page to read the description of their moves within the edit teams sections, tapping the blue skill turns it on and off respectively without having to change the menu to the Unlock SS page.

Heyo!!

Thanks for a reply. I didn’t expect a reply from the devs themselves! I did slightly adjust my post before I realized you responded. Mostly wording to make my points more clear, as well as adding a handful of other points I randomly thought of. Let me know if I can clarify anything else.

In that case I’d say your efforts are minorly noticeable. Not ideal, improvements can still be made. However, I will admit Xuanwa, Love, Azulyn, and Emberelle are actually some of my favorite Goddess designs. The poses alone on many of your examples make them easier to enjoy. Instead of crotches being so exposed or the view angled downward juuust right. I especially love Xuanwa and Azulyn’s second forms. And appreciate all the little details in Azulyn’s design. Her horns, tail, embroidery, swords, and I think that’s jade on her thigh? Other notable designs I like are Lacremia, Obsydbia (cause she owns the “sexy” and doesn’t seem like needless appeal… if that makes sense), and I LOVE Tenguko. I was sad I missed her in the starter banners. Orochi and Daji are sooo close, but still a bit too needlessly lewd. Charybdia’s skin is also great and I’d love to aquire it one day.

Kleo is the worst of your examples. For me, design elements focusing on their inspirations can really bring a design together. In Kleo’s case, more focus on her snake, accessories like gold and jewels, and showing that she is a queen/pharaoh. With a pose that translates strength, confidence, control, and/or maybe slyness, I feel would go a long way. As opposed to her current pose/design, which I interpret as a somewhat innocent and dopey “you wouldn’t seduce me, would you?” Kinda look/vibe. By the same logic, Whitara could look more fierce, aggressive, and wild… instead of bashful. I will also say it’s not just a matter of “lewd,” but how is the “lewdness” is translated from the source material. Don’t just appeal to the “male fantasy,” but also to the fact that they are supposed to be characters with history, story, and personality. (Side tangent, more stories and lore for characters would be AWESOME! Please, please, please. I adore lore and I want more reasons to pull than just design and battle prowess. It would help so much if monsters were more integrated onto events and stories.)

I acknowledge these are very subjective opinions and observations, but it really means a lot to me that you asked. I truly hope it’s helpful and I’m glad the feedback started being worked on even before I got here!!

I was absolutely toggling through the Secret Skills page each time… I had no idea I could literally just tap the Secret Skill on the monsters page to toggle it! This just made my life so much easier!!! Thank you. You can disregard my previous feedback on the matter. Tips like this is literally part of why I made this post.

I genuinely had no idea!! Thank you!

I’ll honestly admit that I really liked the four Guardians, and that’s why I invested in awakening one of them—partly for her abilities, but also for her design, which I really love; she’s both fun and appealing.

My suggestion regarding the Mythic characters who wear skimpy outfits is that there should be a version where they are fully clothed. I say this because I got some strange looks while playing on the train. If you want to reach a wider audience, it’s worth considering—after all, some players prefer skimpy outfits while others prefer them clothed, especially when playing on the train or during a lunch break at work.

That’s just my suggestion, devs—I really enjoy the game.

I’ve been playing this game for a while, and I feel it is highly unbalanced. New players are forced to grind excessively unless they are willing to pay to win. And yeah, I do agree this game is trash.

Another suspend coming from dev

I definitely agree to a point. I think the base of the game itself, the battling, is extremely fun and CAN be strategic compared to other titles… but there is also a heavy incentive for P2W :sob: Pity doesn’t even carry a cross banners, so if you don’t get what you want. You’ve essentially wasted all those resources.

In the multiplayer battles, the only battles that I have any chance at are the limited Legend/Mythic ones in the beginning. The second that is over. I get my ■■■ whooped over-and-over-and-over-and-over.
