Mortars would be more viable if their moves unloaded do 1 damage. Eliminating stealth and killing off gg monsters. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Right now, they don’t fit into the meta. I’ve never lost to a mortar team. Only one that came close was a sleep lock OoO FL with bunker and griff mid.

Interesting concept but right now we have 130+50 TU on lots of the skills and you’re saying make it either 150TU with no shield or 100TU with shield. 180 -> 100 is a HUGE increase in their rate of attack. One of the balancing things about mortar monsters is they are slower getting their attacks off, because they get shields in the process.

All mortar monsters stand alone in teams well then there are a few synergistic combos, mainly including Gryphking. They’re rare (in my opinion) because they have often been put into eggs by themselves (mortar monsters only). My suggestion to the Devs was to slip them into some of the special festivals so people pick them up and become more keen on collecting the other mortar monsters which synergise with them.

As far as I know, the mortar monsters are working just fine as they are. However, if they need a buff to their usability the one I like most is allowing their attack moves to be used without loading first for minimal damage (~200). If it’s a move like chrono breaker and used on a chrono target then it could do ~600 damage.

Honestly I’m fine with 1 damage. It’ll be a huge buff even with that.

Mortar monsters are fine the just need a good setup, i run a mortar fl for pvp and it does fine, if any buffs is made it should make their moves do minimal damage without loading like thaiger suggested.

Mortar monsters are perfectly fine as they are, as the shield they get upon using Load Mortar helps them out a lot. The main reason they don’t see much use is because they’re rather rare. Having at least one or two in the Rare or Gold Egg would give them some more exposure.

What they should do is feature them more in different festivals rather than give them their own festival. Thus, if you happen to pick one up by chance then you would be tempted to roll for the remaining mortar mons.

The mortar meta is a luxury meta and if played well, extremely powerful. However, in my opinion, there are a lot of other legends that players would prefer to see in the updated normal and rare egg.

I doubt we would be seeing bunker etc. in those eggs anytime soon. It would also be a slap in the face to the players that rolled 300+ for them.

Just give them Thaigers suggestion. Let them do 1 damage without loading.

Yep 1 damage without load is a needed feature. They dont need any buff but this feature is a must imo.

Well then same for energy blast on burns or whatever. Fair is fair. Or we could not buff mortar monsters as they’re already some of the most powerful and annoying to deal with in the game as it is :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Every charge monster got a normal move too if im not mistaken. Ultrablaze etc. Mortar need 1 damage moves to pick HG monsters as last result, they cant do anything without a load. They need a whole cycle of load - shot (usualy about 150 TU) to kill a monster on HG (while the load waste most TU, so enemy got time to heal, unlike ultrabalze which is higher TU but it will insta kill)

Fair point but no matter what you say an unloaded gun is nothing more than a really bad hammer. If what you’re suggesting is a normal attack, that makes more sense

Low damage for unloaded mortar moves would be great :slight_smile:

Or just you know, work around them? The whole point is to not let your mons be dead weight

Honestly having atk mortor moves do 1 damage would be fine and pretty nice but I’m sure devs had a reason for not doing that before
