Mortilys ( poll and discussion)

When I ran it in the SR half of my loses were to one particular Unicera guy who outspeed my Mortilys every single time.

Yeah the 50:50 are annoying. Ironically, this guy is made to reduce speed FLs and instead it just promotes them lol

Isn’t it wonderful playing Neo Monsters

Meh. Just means that monster is not as fun as I thought it would be. My Insta lock would have been super fun if I had more Pots on Baba so it would actually go before my GTs lol.

you want to use monsters with less than 21% speed so that ALL fl are vulnerable to mortly but when there is high speed fl after infernal scream your non-monsters go first…ah, interesting, so you are really trying to get a fl unbeatable unless you put a garbage 18 speed monster on your fl just in case the enemy uses mortly, is what you’re asking for dangerous, why don’t you just increase the speed of your slow monsters?

And what bonus are they? They’re the ones which matter.

Ah they’re a mix. They’re not all +9. As I said. I need potions. If I have all +9 is this scenario impossible then?

Although I guess that adds a lot of risk

It’s super easy to counter Morty lol.

It is, but in exchange for destroying your fl for the rest of the games with monsters that don’t really fit

I agree with u lemon. Been testing him and this has happened muli times to me. My monsters should go first if i get the move off. Plain and simple

Yeah boy!

Yes I believe so.

However, if the opponent has slow monsters not boosted properly then you need to go more extreme.

Ultimately I think it’s best to not go extreme and then when it works you’ll get your turns. The times it doesn’t work is when the opponent has at least one slow monster anyway or they’re someone without boosted monsters (probably easier and not using awakened mythics).

Either way, it’s a trade-off where you either guarantee you get your turns when you shriek or you make it fail fewer times. Getting both the guaranteed shriek AND guaranteed turns seems kind of much, particularly because certain setups seem like they’ll be borderline broken with Mortilys. I would recommend a LOT of hesitation asking for buffs.

Yeah I get you.

I kinda feel like this wasn’t intended though. The design is clearly made to keep fast FLs at bay. So I’m not even sure it’s asking for a buff but jus to fulfil its intended purpose.

If it just pushes everything back maybe 10 TU more and that gets added to the cost of the move, I think that would be fine.

Let’s see how it plays out though

Buffing him want make a huge impact. He easily countable. But if i use hellish there no reason 2 or 3 of my opponents monsters still get a turn.

Given the complexity of this design I think it’s extremely early to be making assessments of how balanced it is.

The combo I suggested in the tier list thread is: Mortilys, Bastia, Kuromasa, Gabrielle. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Note that it might need TU adjustments because the idea is to loop the sweeping into another round of sweeping by shrieking the new enemies.

Thank you for the feedback, guys.

If you don’t mind, please share a screenshot of your frontline where your opponent’s monsters are still positioned ahead of yours after using Shriek. This will help us better understand the seconds difference and potential toxic monster combos :slightly_smiling_face:

My fl is similar. Just different monsters. And my monster slower than those u name so i aways get hellish off.

I got u. Now watch it doesn’t happen now :joy:

I just took a note out of janne’s book and are running nyx rhine fl

And its been doing exactly what i need :cherry_blossom:
