Obviously I am a big spender, I prefer to don’t reveal the numbers. But by F2P this is not possible.
I’m around 1000, but I didn’t catch all the 1-2 star ones. I want to, but it’s such a drag.
Let’s revive this thread, long time nobody post any monsterdex progress.

So I guess an old thread can be necroed here without it being locked, and when I ask to close a toxic thread it isn’t. Okay then, no double standard at play here… or the forum has become more laissez-faire in a week than I realized.

It’s because I personally attacked his wallet, which isn’t happening here. I’m just making an observation in my last comment so stop trying to make this something it isn’t. Also I changed the wording of my original comment to not call out people and just mention the situation at hand.
@squinty1880 I’m glad you came back from your banning with a very sensible post not rising to the drama created by someone in that other thread. You asked me to close the thread but a few people have been chatting in there so I’ll just continue to keep an eye on it. If multiple people or the thread’s creator ask me to close a thread I tend to just do it straight away. However, if one person asks out of the blue I tend to use my own discretion. If the thread proves to just be toxic beyond this point I will definitely close it.
This thread is a completely different story. It’s a thread meant for fun and it actually makes a lot of sense to come back to it to see how people are progressing with their monsterdex over time.
I try my best not to have double standards or personal bias in any of my moderation. If that’s not clear then I hope this post at least makes it clearer for this case.

Are you planning to collect more monsters out of festivals?
I am kinda curious when I think about how people tend to manage collecting.
Nowadays finding a certain legend it became very difficult to do.
If in a poll there is 4 featured legendaries and people have 3 of them already, they tend not to waste gems.
So I guessed if someone with a lot of legends, like you @Killerdog, out of bravery does that with odds totally against.
I have to look at each egg individually. If I own any more than the featured legendaries in it then I almost always choose to skip it. I wait for eggs where it’s 3/4 (or more recently 2/3) of the featured I don’t own. Once that condition is met, I look at how desperately I want those monsters I don’t own. Typically I want one but not all, so I’ll skip the egg if it’s not a festival. However, if one is something I’d like and it’s a festival or it’s not a festival but I’d like them all then I choose to open some packs. As soon as I get one new featured I will stop hatching.
That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing for the past 1.5 years. I don’t target particular monsters, I go for collecting generally good stuff. This strategy seems like the best to me… but aside from getting lucky around Christmas time I’ve been having really bad luck getting new legendaries for the 1.5 years. I won’t complain about that here though.

I am actually sitting on almost 1900 monsters obtained, so unless new stuff is released there is no much room for hatches for me.
