Ooh, this will be fun.
I was thinking of a way to introduce epic monsters that actually take time to get. It would also expand the game to make it even more fun.
If the higher-ups think that this is a good idea, it would be wise to copy this and then delete this post, as the entire story is here. I’d be happy to explain more or write more content.
Anyways, it’ll basically be a themed set of monsters with a cool name. Idk, like the “Eternal Guardians” or something. They inhabited the world long before the people in the game came to the land. However, once ark stones were created, they went into hiding. One story could be that the humans decided to try and control them, and they ended up fighting a huge war. The Eternal Guardians were winning by a lot, until the chief humans gave up their souls and became beings known as First Ones. By then, the battlefield was even, and they were growing weary. The Eternal Guardians, respecting their power, granted them immortality, and went to rest. They left sacred artifacts called “Divine Stones” scattered across the land, hoping that they would meet warriors that they could respect. This is where the new quests come into play. The player will have to complete the game, and then go to the infinite dungeon or whatever it’s called. On floor 100, there will be a tablet that tells the story listed above. This is where the “quests” initiate. The next time the player goes to a city, he/she meets good Ol’ Casper. He tells the player that he is proud of what the player has done, and gives him/her a random Divine Stone (1 of 7), telling his story of how he found it in his journeys as a young warrior, etc. The player then needs to travel to the crescent island and talk to…SPOILER ALERT…
…talk to Deucalion. He will then talk about his time spent with them, and transport the player to a new realm, accessible only by a Golden Warp Portal there. Here, guards will question you, and you show them the stone. Blah, blah, blah. There are 7 new areas here. The Sacred Sea, the High Heavens, etc. There’s one for every Eternal Guardian, and there’s one guardian for each type. There can also be other new monsters in these dungeons. There will be another Golden Warp Portal in the “main city” that leads back to the normal land and also to different locations in the new world. When one activates a stone on the warp portal, he/she can access a new land. An example is…The Aquatic Divine Stone grants access to the Sacred Sea, where the Eternal Guardian of water rests…idk, some Hydra or serpent thingy. The question is…sure, the player gets 1 divine stone from Casper…where else? This is where it gets fun. The player will have to embark on new quests to find them. For example…the Earth Divine Stone is found when a natural calamity causes a cave to become revealed by Orlen…or maybe the Aquatic Stone is acquired as a prize when the snow princess needs your help again. Idk.
